We just got the US Brawl in the mail, along with the freeloader!!

Now I got all the hash I need, and Brawl, and I don't have work untill next Tuesday. Oh man, this is already starting out as the best vacation ever!

to tell you the truth, brawl is more likely to be the transfer of the original 64 version to the wii version rather than melee...
so i guess youl be more familiar with it than the people who started with melee and now experiencing brawl

Well we Brits and Euros appear to be getting screwed, still no release date announced for us for Brawl.

I owned and loved the original Smash Bros. on the N64, but never knew anyone with a Gamecube so have never played Melee. How has it evolved? I consider myself fairly good at the original, will this translate to the new one or has the style of play changed a lot?

We do get a little consolation though, we get Mario Kart 2 weeks before you dirty yanks.

well, since i have my brother, cousin and girlfriend who all play brawl, in less than 24 hours we unlocked everything :X so heres some tips...

pikachus down a is only considered powerful cus it can catch you pretty far away...

ike is slow, but if played correctly, can be god tier...meaning best in game by far

metaknight is so fuckin anoying cus its so fuckin hard to kill him...but...he lacks good killing moves as well...

snake, by far, hardest to master...but will be worth it once you do

i play marth, and marth is the man...hands down, my main (rest of you may have a hard time finding your main character to use cus they are all pretty balanced)

fox, yes hes not as in melee, but if you google some fox brawl videos, you will see he still has the old fox in him, with the whole shining thing and everything

wolf, fast, all his moves are killer, dunno what bad things to say about him...

bowser...IS THE SHIT! try jumping, do forward B, than immidiatly jump again before you hit the groung and just keep repeating...its his infinite jump and it really brings mindgames into the setting..

as for stages, most of em are GAY!...final destination all the way...

if theres one thing im having trouble on right now is beating the fuckin boss battles on intense...did anyone manage to pass it?

Played it a lot today and I gotta say I still love Kirby. I guess I'm just accustomed to his style of fighting, but I wooped up on all of my friends. My one friend (Darck in game), who played Smash Bros. for the first time today, started getting good after after a couple of hours with Ike and Metaknight.

I think for a second character I'm going to learn Diddy Kong. He can be pretty quick and I love the cartwheel move, but his smash attack can't even knock off Pikajew.

it bugged me that the diddy carthwheel was his running attack and not a special. For the record i'm impressed that I even remember he did a spinning cartwheel.

when you are selecting the characters, just change your colours with the same colour to the person you want to team with. press your colour before you pick a character. same colour = same team

When you are in the select character area, you should notice on the top around 3 things: Leave, Brawl, and the settings (like time, stock, coins). Just click the Brawl button and it should change to multi-team brawl.
