Contrary to popular belief, i know that a handful of the trench wars community is currently involved in some sort of romantic relationship. I'm trying to think of a wallet-friendly way to do something not too horribly cliche this thursday. what do you all have planned?

We're Going to Disney World in a few weeks so going to a hotel isn't financially possible.
Rent a movie she'll like, go out and purchase all the ingredients you'll need to make her a fantastic dinner, get some wine and just pay extra special attention to her. Wear something decent, jeans work as long as you wear a dress shirt or something relatively similar. Spend the extra five minutes making yourself look good, she'll notice it and appreciate the effort. Eat Dinner, watch the movie and cuddle, serve desert and hopefully if you played your cards right she'll bang you senseless.
always, always make her a valentine. It seems a lot sweeter and looks good on your part that you actually took the time to make her one instead of wasting money on a card.
Other ideas, but also can be incorporated into the date, go for a walk, if there's a lot of nice parks out and the weathers suitable then just hold hands and spend twenty minutes outside enjoying each others company. Visit somewhere that has a lot of romantic significance, don't make it too corny but girls do like to know that we have some recollection of our relationships.
pay attention to her
wear something decent
cook her dinner
rent a movie
make her a valentine
go for a walk or somewhere with romantic significance
Do these six things and you'll be fine.Last edited by Cops; 02-11-2008, 01:27 AM.it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did

I'm glad there are more than a handful of guys willing to cook for their ladies, a few lessons or trying out some recipes will take you a long way.
I always seem to end up meeting a new chick with less than a month before valentines day, so I almost never actually "celebrate" it with them. I've done the day after and this year it might be the weekend after, but not that accursed day with high expectations riding around. My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

I got duped into doing V day with a chick I dated for 3 weeks, what a waste of time. It destroyed the entire relationship, we took it too serious too soon. Anything under three months isn't worth celebrating.it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did

+1 on cooking
If you can cook at all, otherwise learn how, then whip her up some fantastico spaghetti. Makes for a nice (and relatively easy) romantic dinner. You can get all the ingredients for a good spaghetti for less than $20 too.
For me, it's kind of our two-year anniversary and valentines day in one, they're close so we kind of celebrate them together. I took my girlfriend to see the Foo Fighters last weekend, and in return all she has to do is take me out to dinner. Sure I will end up paying more, but overall I think it's a pretty good way to celebrate.5:royst> i was junior athlete of the year in my school! then i got a girlfriend

don't do anything, it's such a commercial bullshit of a day, I wouldn't do anything on the principles alone. I generally turn off my phone and don't talk to her on valentine's. Makes her appreciete me more on other days of the yearOriginally posted by DislikedHowever, I have a bigger problem, being an atheist for 9 years, most of it during my teenage years I've become a little addicted to masterbation. I've tried to stop and even asked God to help but I'm unable to resist the temptation and it's driving me insane with grief.

Our idea, well my idea. was to cook her dinner have some wine, watch a movie give her her pressent and just.. hang out. Give her a massage! But we're going to cook together now, since she didnt want to wait all the time while I was cooking, but I guess cooking together is even more fun. I bought these chocolate blocks (4x12) with text on, its pretty neat.
Might go buy like 20 roses to decorate her front port at night, so when she wakes up she will see it.help: (how do i shot) (Public 0): how do i travel diagonally? i only have up, down, left and right keys.

Yeah! Fight the system!
/sarcasm
Anyways, beside the sarcasm, I agree with you about the commercial hype. Yet, the idea is nice.. to show you care on that day. It doesn't have to involve buying stuff...
We're gonna cook at home and drink some good wine and pass out before 11.

edit: OR maybe you can scope out a romantic place to take her near where you are, and set something up there (candles, wine/cheese basket, etc) but that's a bit hard because of the damned february weather.Last edited by Bioture; 02-11-2008, 09:41 AM.TelCat> i am a slut not a hoe
