                          real figures

                          So they only tested girls 14-19. The study found;

                          Human papillomavirus, or HPV, affected 18% of the girls surveyed, chlamydia 4%, trichomoniasis 2.5%, and herpes simplex virus 2%.

                          HPV is transmitted sexually and causes cervical cancer in some of the woman that contract the virus. HPV has no effect on men.

                          Take away the 18% that have HPV, and you're left with only 6.5% of girls from 14-19 had a real STD.

                          So in other words they wanted to have a study with SHOCKING results. Why? I dunno, to get published, or scare kids into not having sex, or safe sex?

                          If you're scared, wear a condom.
                          If you're not scared, wear a condom.
                          I came, I saw, I lagged out... :rolleyes:

                              ...other than making you a carrier.

                              Some girl I know dated a guy for two years, didn't tell him she had HPV, then broke up with him. Now the girl he's currently dating has it. That's fucked.
