Those aren't consequences, those are structured punishments and fears created by the system.

The greater irony in all of this is that, its usually the required 'sneakiness' that attracts the young crowd to smoking pot, and because they're working on trial and error, without their parents or anyone older at least saying "Dont smoke this, this is nutmeg and lawngrass." they can hurt themselves or put themselves in a situation where they can be hurt.

I'd rather my kids smoked pot at home than on the street where they could be picked up by the cops.

It shouldn't be this way, but the pot culture has evolved into a very shady under-belly of society type culture.

Not only that but the choppers they use to find plantations is sponsered by Budweiser. The alcohol would have to share their (legal) monopoly on the drugmarket, and that would provide huge sums of lost profits.

To add further more to what you said I can say that the oil industry in the 1920s that paid/convinced the government to ban cannabis (Yes, cannabis can be used as oil, Cannabis Sativa it's latin and means usefull because it's one of the most versetaile plants in the world).

I don't really bother writing one of my 500 word posts about legalizing, I've already done a few.

I'll just answer whatever I feel like is worth a reply, basically every industry that felt threatened moved to get it criminalized, this includes tobacco, alcohol, oil, paper and cotton industries/importers.

In the south USA back in slavery days they criminalized it to break down the spritit of the slaves. They kept renewing their spirit by using cannabis, and the slavemasters wanted them as low as possible.

In short: Cannabis is banned over racistical reasons and capitalistical reasons.

My favorate subject: Funny how the commerical shows a gun on a table in the first place.. such an toy has only one purpose; why the hell is it legal in usa?! (gun kills a year in germany: 381, france 255, canada 165, UK 68, australia 65, japan 13. And here it comes: USA: 11.127). This IS the big issue, not the unemployed, blakcs, druggies, brakeup families, or as in this case being not sober... its being able of having the gun in the first place.

Second, being high does not make you feel like swinging with a gun, neither with alcohol, mushrooms, coffee or for my part sugar. If you can't handle it, keep the gun in a safe place or take less dosis?

Most important. If it's illigal in your country: accept it. Period
