Science and religion are not at odds. Science is simply too young to understand.

I'm not going to sift through 6 pages of shit, but could one of you guys toting the Big Bang theory as the evidence of evolution and the universe as we know it tell me who first proposed it and the immediate reaction towards it?

I don't have to tell scientists that God is outside of science because they already believe it. God cannot be explained by natural phenomena. You cannot describe God with measurements like distance or time. You cannot explain God's composition because it's not made of matter. The entire theory that God created the universe states that He is outside of us and greater than us. Something like that is just too big to wrap our minds around with science.

hmm, I don't think I've ever noticed you on the forums before milosh, but I've got a new respect for you. Even though I don't necessarily agree with everything you're saying you do make some very good arguments. Epi makes some good arguments as well. If I could, I'd highly suggest that you don't respond to some of these people (especially the ones responding with useless pictures). They're just taking away from the discussion and they're not even worth a response, I won't name any names to add fuel to the fire.

The bible also tells of great floods, raining fire and brimstone, 6-headed serpents and other wacky shit that's never occurred in modern times. The book of Job is more of a fable than a literal account anyway.

And furthermore how could a human write about dinosaurs walking around among them when dinosaurs obviously predate language (or human life for that matter)?

Dinosaurs are referred to in several Bible books. The book of Job describes two dinosaurs. One is described in chapter 40 starting at verse 15, and the other in chapter 41 starting at verse 1. The book mentions leviathons, which most people assume to be whales or something of that nature, but in reality it means dinosaur (before there was a word for dinosaurs).

Also, the book of job was written by a human who was speaking to God. If God is real and predates the universe, then why would a human not be able to take what was said and write it down as a literal account?

Also, the Earth has had 3 phases so far according to the bible. Of those 3 fazes, each one lasted millions of years. The whole 7 day creation in genesis does not mean that its literally 7 days in human terms. A day to God could mean millions of years. Everything cannot be taken literal to the human perspective, because if God is real then what we know to be reality might not be the whole truth. If you are dead, and time is infinite, then why couldn't science actually be right and the Bible coincide with that?

We have cave paintings and other evidence that people inhabited caves. The Bible also describes cave men.

Note that these were not ape-men, but descendants of those who scattered from Babel. They were driven from the community by those tribes who competed successfully for the more desirable regions of the earth. Then for some reason they deteriorated mentally, physically, and spiritually.[1] (Go into a bad part of your town and you will see this concept in action today.)

The fact that air has weight was proven scientifically only about 300 years ago. The relative weights of air and water are needed for the efficient functioning of the world’s hydrologic cycle, which in turn sustains life on the earth.

Pretty much everything science discovers to be completely true, and not a theory, the bible has references to. The more we discover through science the more we can relate it back to the bible in terms of what was said, and get more understanding.

I'm not trying to turn anyone into a believer, but I'm saying that alot of things said in the bible are proven to be right. The stuff from revelations is all based on future events that we don't know about yet, or when it will ever happen. My best guess is that if all of it is true, then we will be able to reference it back to the bible when it occurs.

And your 3 headed monster part is a complete misunderstanding. You cannot read prophecies literally, they are interpreted not taken as literal ideologies. The three headed monster could literally mean 3 powerful countries that were going to destroy various nations, or something like that.

I would like to point out science never claims anything to be true, rather science aims to prove things are false. Alot of non-scientists (and some scientists) don't seem to understand this.

A piece of evidence, or research could come to light that destroy some science we would call "true".

Jesus, wake up and smell the coffee already. ID is just a silly creationist pseudoscience that’s being advertised as a science. ID can’t prove anything and the creationists’ attempt of trying to prove scientific theories wrong as evidence for ID is laughable. That all scientific theories aren’t 100% true or that there isn’t a bulletproof scientific theory for everything isn’t evidence that there is a god or that the bible is nothing but a stupid old story book. People trying to prove the bible right by using bible quotes and saying it can be interpreted anyway you like is a good one too. With that logic any book or any statement can be true. By the way, all you guys saying ID is just an assumption made by religious people with no verifiable backing, read Thomas Aquinas and his 5 proofs of God's existence. Not long at all, should take you like 15 minutes, and hopefully make you think.
