I wasn't trying to compare anything, I was trying to point out that what you tried to brag about isn't really all that impressive. You are talking dollars too. I am not the one bragging here about the house my parents bought, or the awesome 40inch tv. I am just telling you your bragging failed, and I used my own experiences as an example. I in no way live in a really fancy neighbourhood, nor is it really up scale. It is nice and quiet and basically no crime etc. and I like it. But I wouldn't call it up scale, I would call it just above average. I don't have it bad, but that is mostly due to my parents working hard for it, not because off me, and I work hard enough to be able to buy what I want and stuff.

Did you read my post lol? I said you feel into the comparison i was making...i put my life contrast to Money's, i wasn't trying to brag or anything. I understand exactly what you mean, first off, i think you should be a tad more appreciative of where/how you live. If you do live in a 600,000 euro house, then it better be more than "nice", it better be great, and you shouldn't think of it as..."I dont have it bad" but more like I have it pretty good. And apparently people like him make horrendous assumptions, i said he was a high school failure, because more than likely he was, yet he tries to tell me things about academics ol. i dunno what real estate prices are like in the netherlands, but just for sake of argument, a 130sqm (1400sqft) house, costs around 400k euro, which isnt exactly "mind bogglingly awesome"..

the well off ppl have houses that are around 250sqm to 300sqm, which are more like 800k, depending on area some are over the 1 million mark.

To be honest, 600k in the Netherlands (depending on the neighbourhood) really isn't anything spectacular. I have no clue how big our house is, square feet don't really mean a lot to me. But it is not that hard to get to a house worth 1 million here. Then again, we do build better houses than in America (not trying to dis anyone or start some argument). Your houses are mostly made with a wooden skeleton, ours are made out of stone, so the costs of building a house here is higher. Next to that, the Netherlands is pretty much jammed full with people, so ground is really expensive here.
