Turn on your TV, Mumbai is under attack. The Taj Mahal Hotel is being burnt down as I type this. My girlfriend's family is from Mumbai and these hotels are a sense of pride for most Indian people. Their attacking their people and their economy.

78 to 80 are dead. 200 are injured.

Its a hotel, they attacked several tourists places.

Some unknown organization took responsible for the attack. they call themselves Decan Mojahadin or something like that.
It's also reported that the chief officer of counter-terrorism in the Mumbai police force is dead.

Probably Kashmiri terrorists.. it always is. India has terrorist attacks every so often from them.

Or maybe it was relatives of Thai fishing crews.

The guy opposite me got a phonecall from Mumbai becuase his wifes parents where staying there on holiday and rang up to say they are safe but there was an attack and lots of bodies in the streets but if they hear the news not to worry (their daughter i.e. his wife is due a baby on tuesday so they didn't want to alarm her)

i work in BBC northern ireland I.T. and they had access to the rolling news ticker thing they pick up on to be broadcast and this phonecall came through before it did.

it made seeing it on the news even weirder
