BTW...It is totally painless!!!!!! don't be freaked out over watching it on a video. having a hair pulled from your head involves more pain than this procedure.

It's the whole "eye forced open while you look into a laser" thing that totally turns me off. If I could have perfect vision without that, I'd do it in an instant, but mentally, it's one of those things that completely freaks me out.

Are you sure about that? I mean, will there be any cornea left to burn away with a laser after the first treatment?

It really is a simple and quick procedure. If you want to scare yourself away from getting it, then pass on this and forget about it. If the video freaks you out, try watching videos of dentistry and mouth work being done on your gums and teeth...probably will never visit a dentist again.

If you want corrected vision, then go for it and yes they do offer lifetime guarantee's on this procedure.

Only thing to keep in mind, is you will eventually need reading glasses, as most do when they hit middle age.

I'm slightly long-sighted. I inquired about it but the Optometrist said to wait for a couple of reasons.
1) my eyes are not bad enough.. apparently they burn a layer of "growth" off the retina, if there isnt much to burn there is a risk of burning the retina itself.
2) the technology is still fairly new and is improving all the time.. this was a couple of years ago so maybe its improved?

maybe u should have seen the real doctor then, you know, an OPHTHALMOLOGIST. Optometrist is like getting a degree at DeVry, useless.


my dads girlfriend had this done when it first came out years ago, when everyone was afraid of it....she has had no side effects ever.

Yeah you can google it. I know Lasik does it with their 20/20 guarantee thing, don't know about what anyone else offers for this.
