ZeUs!!, in case you come back and read this thread: I remember you always talking about how you were a lazy bastard in uni and did things last minute/bare minimum pass. This leads me to this question: Did you do what I have done and leave your dissertation until the last minute? I need to do 8,000 words minimum and am currently on 5,500 words. Is it possible to do it to an acceptable standard by 31st?

no really it is.

8,000 words is like, 20 pages. I write that every week, easy.
for instance this week I had 10 pages due in one class on monday, with two five pages due in two other classes on friday. I also have a two-pager due today, but that one I'm going to write in the next few hours.

College as a liberal arts major is awesome.

I know what you are saying. I've done much bigger projects before, but with the dissertation being the biggest hyped and 'meant to be your best piece of work ever' in UK universities, I have this feeling that this is gonna be marked really strictly. It's a usability study, and I feel that what I have done is more quantity than quality and I haven't started data gathering just yet.

The problem is with it being a lot of theory until I start doing the data gathering, it's very hard to put into words, citing references etc. It's definitely the slowest piece of writing I've ever done because of that.

I hit 7,500 today and I'm just about to start my data gathering. Think I'll be alright, every time I feel like this about a piece of work I end up coming out with a decent 70+. Probably because of the worry I subconsciously make myself do it thoroughly.

Now I've learnt that not only do online spaceship game players have massive penises, but they're also awesome at writing huge pieces of work in a short timescale. Thanks guys.

You could fall under Pallies, but come to think of it I'd definitly get shit-faced with you bro. Who knows, maybe we'd get tanked enough to have even more life-saving, and/or threatening experiences! Jeenyuss, Liquid Blue, PaulO, Jerome and pavement (is he drinkin'?) Epi or Troll King (my IQ would go up just meeting them) and of course Kahlan, Lemmin, and last but certainly not least 404 Not Found. There are many others, I just decided to add those for now. I don't really think asking Papa Vyk would work Guru, unless I was drinking with him. You don't really know someone until you've gotten fucked up with them. Oh and throw in any of the Pirates, thats definitly going down as one of my favourite squads of all time, specifically scoop, herc, dwop, rule, turban, mattey - basically anyone but especially the dudes that were there when i first joined and our roster was at like 16 ppl, and everyone thought we were toast. Then I joined, our roster went to 30 or so, and we made it pretty fucking far! Arrr!
