Oh what a load of bullshit from the both of ya: 'Value of tradition', 'They're uniting Holland' or 'Being Royalty isn't that easy'. MY ASS.
I don't really care if the Royal Family loses their title/national puppet-show-position or not.
My point is: It's beyond ridiculous that 100 million euro of tax-money goes their way every year to pay for their 'expenses'. (like keeping their old-ass boat floating costs about a ton a year). Funniest is that not even our ministers can show where all the money is going, it's fucking pathetic.
And it's not like they haven't got a sufficient income of their own from the ridiculous amount of wealth they acquired (our Royal Family has about 2.5 billion euros, but don't have anything to spend it on.). But why should they pay for their costly lifestyle themselves when the taxpayer is "willing" to do so, eh?
Seriously, if they want to keep their position as Royalty and continue to live like they've been doing, let them pay for it themselves. Give me one good argument why they shouldn't? And no I didn't count 'we have enough tax-income to pay for it' as a good argument, I can think of a thousand better ways to spend those 100 million euro.
