lol wtf... fiery has started 1999? i started 97-98 change ... so i've played longer than fiery. i guess i'm true veteran then :P i dont have any respect in tw tho. that's pretty sad some how.. because i lead a squad in base that won cripples finally. well ... i guess only the true braggers get the respect.. :P

maybe i'll start dueling again and be a one hell of a dueler

I don't dispute this at all. That's why I say that will never happen again. On average the skill level has risen so much in Trench Wars full domination is no longer possible as there are too many good players.

It's the general consensus of squads in SVS. The squads in Pro League in SVS a few seasons ago (showing the skill they did then) would be given a fair fight in AML these days, and be blown away in Pro.

Nah I wouldn't say that. There is no general consensus about that. Good players are good players. Teams back then were great. Did you see them play? No, but I did. I would say on average any Pro League squad now would be highly ranked in the Pro Leagues of seasons past, but I wouldn't say they would just get blown away.

First of all, most of you, are new geneation players so i dont care what you guys say, cuz ur new and u can't relate back to the past..my generation is a dying breed and only we know truely what went on a long time ago.

I only played at the top. Most of you during the previous 3 years weren't elite, or good at all, otherwise i would have recognized ur name..u guys dont come close to Sudden BAnzi JAck..otherwise u'd be in supersquads like i was. so stfu about the elite bs cuz u guys sucked. some of u were cool but skill wise, the truth hurts.

no , this is not my glory to fame post, the ppl i respect know what i have done, we talk about it .. i could care less about what newbies say.

also, when u talk about the general skill of tw has risen. LOL. You haven't even won a championship title, so you have no right to speak. Because all the dominant vets have left, RAMPAGE, Elusive, SIEGE, thus, the remaining players, the average, have a better chance, and there's no one on top owning them easiily anymore. thats why its harder for you guys to win now cuz ur facing ppl of ur mediocore skill level.

oh yeah btw, i know i am not good now, rather, i am capped by 1024 res. But when i do have 1280 i can hands down beat 98% of tw easily in warbird dueling. so no, the average skill did not go up, because vets that come back now still own like they did maybe not 10-0 ,, but more like 10-7 now.

And one more thing,

if you have no idea what i was talkinga bout in my main post, then, consider yourself a newbie, and stfu cuz u have no right to speak. thanks. which is 95% of you. this was my post to let all the ignorant ppl who think they are good, tell them that they really suck and they had no chance back then..so stop thinking ur good now, cuz u aren't. just cuz tw sucks now doesnt mean ur better, u aren't the worst now, cuz u have an influx of newbs under you.

I should not even be posting here. This thread does not deserve to be graced with the response of someone like myself. Be in awe, young ones, that I am here to speak with you today. To think that you start your "oldschool" account of history after I retired makes me squeeze out a painful, choking laugh.

To see my name unmentioned in every response up until this point is disgraceful. Shame on you, all of you.

Let me dissect what is wrong with what you have said, piece by piece, so you can fully understand the magnitude of my superiority over all of you. Bask in my glory.

There is the first newbie alert. You've condemned yourself before you've even started.

- In Defcon1, "Flyzone was the leader..."
Wrong again. CoL infact owned the squad since Mad Green was not around. To suggest otherwise is blasphemy, and as an original member of Defcon1 and Defcon1 FU/EL, I declare you unfit to continue speaking.

Who do you think you are? As an original member of TWE, I again declare you unfit to continue speaking. Let me give you a quote from Booyaa I just got at 9:43 EST today, when asked if he started TWE with TOFU: "No."

LAME, TWE, and Defcon1? You have your time periods messed up, since I have been on all three of those squads. As for the awesome players - yes, I take credit. You're right, I was awesome.

Again, you defeat your claim to veteran-hood. I could literally count the players who had ever defeated me in duels on one hand until I came out of retirement in 2001. I can STILL name those people. I infact have a list of my first 70 duels from my first website. There are 7 losses, 3 of which came from Childrn of Light (with 4 wins against him) - but then again we used our right hands or all our fingers only intermittently. The other 4 losses come from: Booyaa; one of the most dominant players towards the end of my tenure as the best player ever, Higgus; the original "Higguser" who only beat me once out of 7 times because he got lucky, Childrn of Darkness; the other original LAME badass who I also was about even with, and Phalanx; who beat me just before I went into retirement by a narrow margin. It got him onto LAME I think, although I'm not sure. Point is - god was I absurdly good.

First, that is LAME, not Lame. Second, obsideon was more like LAME's bastard son. It was formed without the consent of the original LAME players, and I shun the implication that "LAME formed Obsideon". You also don't mention the second best squad of all time (after LAME and right before TWE), Discord. It was too elite, since we couldn't find players as good as us to join, so we had to fold.

Number one in elim? Are you trying to tell me that any self respecting veteran has ever held a rank in elim? Elim is to me what the internet is to retired postal workers. I just don't care what it is, and my life is perfectly fine without it, no matter how cool the technology.

I'm sorry, but what? If you knew anything about the TRUE trench war talents, you would crap your pants. I suppose you never even heard of the squad iNET PURE? No, I suppose you wouldn't have. 50-20 is a fair match - you actually managed to kill the opponent.

As for the rest of your post - it is too recent to have anyone who could actually be considered a vet named in it. I'm going to go ahead and cut myself off here before I make you cry harder. For those of you new to the game, this is what we call a "flame". See, let me give you a true account of the history of Trench Wars. I came, I saw, I conquered. When I came to Trench Wars and was recruited to The Pure by God (no, not Crown of Thorns - the real player God), it was a little upstart zone. I have been from 2xT3 to iNET to wherever the hell tw went after that. My tenure as a player in trench wars has gone through the reign of 5 sysops. I have been on and off so many squads (sometimes the same one multiple times) that it almost surpasses the amount of times I've been on and off the staff. I can't list my minor insignificant "skill" achievements, because frankly they are too far in the past to be part of my memory, or the memory of anyone who plays the game today. Nor would I recount my tales of greatness if I could. They are incomparable to any achievements of players today. Not to say my personal achievements aren't of a higher quality and quantity than the combined achievements of everyone else currently playing the game, because they are - I am a living legend who should have a shrine erected for me, with blood sacrifices of virgins on the weekends (instead of "events"). Trench wars, and subspace at large, is not the same game it was seven years ago, by any stretch of the imagination.

The people who I consider veterans barely exist in the memories of the people most people consider veterans these days. Therefore, I've decided to coin a new term. It would be unfair to call people who have dominated in their times, even if their times are past my time and before modern time, newbies. But it is also impossible to call them veterans. Therefore, I will use the term vetties for those who deserve some praise, and that you may actually have heard of. These are the people who may still walk amongst you, but are legends in their own right. I hereby forbid the use of the word "veteran" to describe anyone I do not personally deem worthy. Instead, you are free to use the words "newbie" and "vettie" as you will. If you know anything about anything, you will adhere to these new guidelines set before you.
