beyond the scope of porn, i envision that this sub-forum would, in general, be of a more adult nature. topics of conversation that would be deemed inappropriate for minors would find a home here.

this sub-forum would be a catch-all for questionable material that doesn't belong within the confines of the rest of the forum's various sections. i'm not talking about a circle jerk porn appreciation club.

The only reason he posted porn was because it is illegal, and some times its fun to break the law if you can find a secret melee forum to do it in so it isn't just taken down immediately. Jason, do you really need TW to have a porn forum that bad? You say to Exalt it is just on tree in the forest, but that's the only tree that is illegal as of now, so what other types of threads are illegal in TW except porn that "mature" TW players cannot already create? Would you talk about boobies? I'm sorry Jason but I just think the necessity of having naked ladies is pretty low for the TW community. idk if that would be considered racism on this part of the forum, all i did was censor our the F word. But I can see how someone can take this the wrong way. And, the wrong way would be against the rules here (racism). I'm just being nice by censoring the F word, it's not what you might think it also might be

so basically we want a sub forum for the "racist" words, well i think we can all see what will happen. we will all switch to that forum and no one will use gen discussion just so we can say the n word, then we all be like, "why are we here," and we will either leave to the new forum or some will stay and then you got topics all over the place and a divided forum. as of now, i cannot imagine a single topic that cannot be used in gen. discussion that will go into the new mature sub forum except the same topics with the n word and occasional porn shot from noah. im just not sure how this sounds like something worth having yet.

it would still be awesome have a forum section where we can just go bug out and post anything that won't get you arrested

Why not just do what we did in the old days of TW and host the forum on your own server, this way you can control it yourself, with your own rules and regulations and have it linked to the TW Forums as a sub forum category. As I see it if TW hosts it, look for image leaching to happen as well as other probs that would effect the TW forum.

Would solve all the problems and then you and whomever runs it can control it.

i certainly see the potential for abuse, and frankly vati, i agree with you. it's not that i think this sub-forum is a necessity, born out of our god-given right to act like jackasses. i just thought perhaps it was a way to corral the existing jackassery.

as xog described, i think it would be more of a place for some cathartic venting.

404: i thought of that, too. and i do actually prefer a forum hosted elsewhere. i have two problems with making that a reality, though. first off, is time. i'm not sure i can dedicate myself to getting a forum up and off the ground. it's a bit of work. and secondly, money's an issue. i can't afford to host anything right now, and while i know of a few free forum hosting services, i'm almost certain we would fall subject to those services' ToS agreements and rules, rather than being able to come up with our own.

in short, i thought it would be both easier and faster to see about getting this idea implemented right here at home. we'll see how how the winds of opinion are blowing though, and go from there.

one last thought, vati, you sarcastically mentioned "leet" forums users. and maybe that's more to the heart of the issue. maybe it's not so much what can or cannot be posted, but the fact that only long-time forum members could access the sub-forum. perhaps the feeling of exclusivity is the shot in the arm some of the dissatisfied folks are looking for.

it's important to note that i'm just trying to be an idea guy here. don't get too caught up in this being, "us vs. them" or anything of that nature. i'd really like to remain as neutral as possible and am ultimately just looking to better the forums. aside from my one (once again, admittedly) silly outburst, i've been a member of this community for the better part of a decade and i've always behaved myself. i've made a lot of good use out of these forums, so i'd like to figure out a way to keep them strong, and to give back if i can.

That's a tad different than what you originally said. You might want to edit the original part then, because it made you sound more like a porn junkie than someone trying to get a 'free of rules' forum.
