RussiaToday — September 23, 2009 — The Polish parliament has adopted a resolution that blames Russia for genocide, allegations Moscow denies.
The document, passed without a vote or debate, refers to the mass murder of thousands of Polish citizens at the outbreak of the Second World War.
Russia says this political move will seriously strain already tense relations between the two countries.

You say Russia and Poland were on good diplomatic terms, metal. Well, do you know where the plane was flying when it crashed? Do you know what the Polish government was trying to get Russia to admit about the 20,000 Polish police and soldiers Russia murdered in 1940's? Do you know Russia refused to meet with or allow President Kaczynski to be allowed on any Russian media? Or does the statement of grief issued by Putin erase all that? None of this means the plane was destroyed on purpose, but it does show that Poland and Russia are not on the good diplomatic terms you seem to remember.
