    Especially if countries in northern Europe (at least) still aren't allowed to fly planes by the 26th of may!! I am going to Amsterdam, and there's only 39 days left

          my parents were "one of the first" to be affected by this. They were suppose to come home from NY friday morning but when they arrived to the airport they found out the flight was cancelled. first they were told they could probably get back home sunday, then monday and now they are being told they cannot fly home until thursday. I imagine its he best place in the world to get stuck at, but it still sucks they have to spend alot more money on their vacation than they planned too hehe..

            the flight/insurance companies have to pay for their stay though, right? at least it's pretty much mandatory in finland at least.

              yeah apparently they do. Im not sure why tho and I didnt think they would first because of this being a "Force Majeure". This is huge blow for all airline companies, specially with most hotels in europe using this and overcharging their guests..

                I'm stuck in Italy with my wife Was supposed to be back tomorrow in Finland. Oh well, I guess we'll have to go to Napoli next. RyanAir's service sucks but that's expected, I just asked for refunds and hoping that our insurence pays for our extra nights at hotels around Italy

                      I hope this stuff gets figured out soon. I'm supposed to leave on Friday, but if the airports don't open until say Thursday, I'll still be delayed because they still need to be getting all those people out that are stuck right now.
