I have blistered my nasal passages by putting some of these peppers in blenders/food processors while making stuff. FYI, I've also wasted my nose doing the same with fresh horseradish, you don't need direct contact.

You guys will find that as you get older, this kind of hot stuff becomes more tasty.

I've eaten spicy food all my life, but something as hot as a ghost pepper is just....retarded. Worst I've had is habanero and even that is pushing it. If you are spending half the time drinking to numb the heat then it's not even worth eating the food itself.

Any man who eats ghost peppers must just rape his beverage, and any man raping his beverage isn't eating or enjoying his food.

Enjoy that memory for awhile, as we probably will be w/o crawfish for some time due to the gulf oil spill. The club I am working with in Philly had been getting them flown in fresh daily! Well it was good while it lasted.

our seafood industries are cute and nostalgic, but it's cheaper to have farmed chinese shrimp and crawfish flown halfway across the globe to restaurants here than it is to drive 4 hours to south louisiana. but when you can get gulf shrimp, they're awesomely huge and awesomely fresh.

i picked up some killer hot sauces in new orleans, like millions-of-scovilles hot. i pretty much can no longer taste food

Just had an idea, what if we gargled with a bleach solution then rinsed? It should work just as good right? (As long as we don't care about putting bleach in our mouths)

Lousiana hot sauce is basically tabasco, IE not very hot at all.

Habernero has good flavor if you can actually eat spicy foods like I can for instance. Obviously if you don't eat a lot of spicy foods or can't handle them all you taste is burning heat. But once you get past that level of weakness you can actually enjoy them.

Crawfish wouldn't get raped from the oil spill in the gulf because crawfish are fresh water for the most part, and there are huuuge crawfish farms all over the place in between Texas/Louisiana, there are whole towns like old coal towns where literally everyone is a crawfish farm worker.

slather something in the hottest they have at bw3s and jsut mow down it starts to get pretty spicy for me. i like spicy food and have a tolerance higher than the average person. some people like things that are hotter though, good for them.

at bw3s though the mango habanero sauce is pretty much awesome and good on anything in the whole world.

i would say that is probably my favorite combination of flavors. spicy and sweet. i am a fan any time you can get those paired up. some of my favorite salsas are the habanero/fruit kinds.

It was a while afterwards. But honestly, do you wash your hands every time you scratch your balls? Or do you forget about it after half an hr when you're eating your chalupa?

It may be cheaper, but that's why the industry is failing here. It's unfortunate, really, and I don't care what anyone says. My dad used to be a shrimp boat captain (everyone stfu with the Gump references), but because of the industry and now the spill, he stopped recently. Imported shrimp don't taste the same. Different waters, different diets....

Oh and to actually contribute to something on-topic, the bleach thing worked due to the neutralization of the acid by the base (bleach.) If you're a gardener, lime will work, not the fruit, but the powder from limestone. It's also safer.

the blazin' sauce is intolerable to any person i've ever met or even heard of it, decribing it as 'pretty spicy' just doesnt make fucking sense.

like there's a line between spicy and redonkulous, blazin basically takes a shit on redonkulous and forms its own category.
