God hasn't been disproved in fact Revelations prophecies have pretty much been strengthened since the microchip was invented, its all right there and all pretty much guaranteed to happen in the last 30 years or so. The Mark of the Beast will happen because it is the next logical step in technology, its a way to stop identity theft and make sure people are who they say they are. And companies are already working on the technology. Besides when you look at all the science channel programs like "top 7 ways the world is going to end" they all pretty much match up with what The Bible says is going to happen.

It always amuses me when theists try to shift the burden of proof on atheists, and then in the same paragraph talk about logical steps. Good luck waiting around for someone to disprove something that doesn't exist.

Besides in the end so what if I am wrong, I would have lived a better life and met some good people from the fact that I am a Christian.

But, that aside... I'm a bit confused as to why you're pointing out that other people believe in ghosts. I know we live in a collectivist society, but regardless of that, how does pointing out a support group substantiate your beliefs?

I'm not arguing that you didn't experience something. I'm questioning the conclusion that the "something" was spiritual, a ghost, or whatever supernatural label you want to use.


My question is: why do you rule out natural phenomenon and jump straight to supernatural beliefs?

I wouldn't rule out natural phenomenon, but in my personal experiences when trying to apply a natural phenomenon to what happens in someones basement and in my own I honestly have no explanation of it

As for the experience of feeling as if someone was trying to choke me, sleep paralysis is an explanation that says that this is a physical experience and this one I can associate with such, however it was quite a violent experience none the less

I'm not arguing anything nor trying to continue debating on anything religious as I can see both sides of the coin, all I was wondering was whether anyone else had any experiences with something they may have associated as a " Ghost or Paranormal ", whether they honestly have some scientific explanation to rationalize or explain the experience is not my interest :P
