while i agree that violish is infuriating, the problem there is that it's already been let go for far too long. there are too many people doing it and we didn't get on top of it when we had the chance.

is there a double standard between violish and #, somewhat yes, i do admit as much. you can't let people do something for months and months and months and not say a word and then all of a sudden start banning for it. precedent has already been established. and likewise, precedent is now established moving forward. act like a douche too often, and you might get called on it.

It seems like the mods are forgetting these still are the trenchwars forums, not some elitist club about which we should be grateful to be part of, and which should be protected from idiots/trolls.

face it newly elected mods, most of the interesting/entertaining people have by now left behind this game + forums. ppl like draft (i actually don't know the guy, he could be cool) and much worse are who you're left with.. (scurvy's 80/20 ratio could be correct)
posting ways how to cheat in-game, posting your penis; obvious things like that, should be worthy of a warning/ban, but surely not typing in a retarded 'twitter' way.. (if you want to do the latter you can always come to the (now almost dead) diso forums, we don't ban pictures of penes, we draw them as a hobby)

This is really not the direction you should be heading into. With rules like this it comes down to mod-bias who deserves a ban and who doesn't. As there's no unbiased argument why draft's twitter-style messaging is better/worse than the 'vio-speak', the constant +1-ing, or the useless image-spamming (hi PH). And eventually you'll just be sending out the message: 'trench wars players, we don't want you on our exclusive forums'. Cut it out while you still can, the game is still free to play and this is the community who plays it, so deal with the idiots in the old fashioned way: make fun of them or ignore them.

And remember without people to hate on, forums become a snorefest (unless you allow pornographic pictures to be posted)

as far as this ban goes, this thread started as little more than a tool to gauge the community's reaction to this #faggotshit, i personally never intended to ban for it but draft saw it fit to keep pushing the big red button after two mods (and a third, half-jokingly) made it clear to stop pushing the fucking button because we weren't the only ones irked by it
