Additionally, the US Census Bureau also defines US southern states as 16 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.

I want to go back down that way to the gulf coast ... was fun. Plus I want to scale the mighty Britton Hill off of 331, the "roof" of Florida at a mighty 345 ft above sea level.
EDIT: and how the fuck is Delaware part of the south, eph...Last edited by vaped; 12-23-2010, 04:35 PM.Fuck it.

eh fuck it that wiki article is stupid. lol i retract any shittalk.
From wikipedia:
The question of how to define the subregions in the South has been the focus of research for nearly a century.
As defined by the United States Census Bureau, the Southern region of the United States includes sixteen states. Thirty-six percent of all U.S. residents lived in the South, the nation's most populous region.
The Census Bureau defined three smaller units, or divisions:
The South Atlantic States: Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware
The East South Central States: Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee
The West South Central States: Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and TexasFuck it.

What a pointless debate. I never said that Missouri was 'in the south' in my original post. Just that they have some tasty ass dry rub bbq. Just because your head is crammed up your bluedevil ass doesn't mean I can't enjoy food elsewhere.

No actually I think we've determined that you have to like the food in the south best or else you can't enjoy food at all.Originally posted by ToneWomen who smoke cigarettes are sexy, not repulsive. It depends on the number smoked. less is better

About the BBQ debate. I think that BBQ from the Carolinas is a little drier than I like and the sauces and sides are more vinegary than I think. I'm a bigger fan of Tennessee BBQ.
Archibald's In Tuscaloosa, AL is my favorite bbq. It's a shanty built around a chimney. They have a more vinegary sauce that you probably wouldn't like, soup du jour, but the meat is the juicier smoked style.
I've been tempted a few times to order sauce from there to have shipped up here, but I don't think they have the logistical structure to do such a thing.
The shanty of bbq win.
Fuck it.
