Election time.

As I have mentioned in a few other threads, I am going to be running for my city council on February 9th in a bi-election.

The nominations just opened up on the 4th, and I have till the 12th to get 25 signatures of people in the constituency. I just picked up the nomination form today and have 3 of the 25 now, and a promise of 8 more tomorrow. (this is a mere trivial matter for me as I deal with many of the constituents on a daily basis and have formed a good repoire with them.)


I decided to post here a 'journal' of my activities throughout the day during my campaign for you forum go-ers interested in politics.

Jeenyuss can only vote for me, if he lives in my riding. (I hope he does)

As for the rights of Moose I firmly believe that they want more rights, because they have started marching in the streets.

I am working to supply the underpriviledged nourishment from something other than moose. This will be my platform for the moose vote.

yeah that's pretty cool.i hope you're also campaigning on the promise of changing the name of your city to something less goofy, too. and then the name of your province, because come on how can you be taken seriously with a name like saskatoon/saskachewan

LOL, I will (for ONE council meeting) be playing this at the same time. (maybe april fools day or something)

As for the farmers, I totally support them and their needs, however this is a civic matter not a provincial so farmers have little concern for me. (Especially in the ward I am running for)

Well with 5 days remaining I have 10 of the 25 signatures needed and 13 more promised (and a possible 6 more if I can get in contact with them)

I had to call City Hall today. I found out that I 'can' run a Facebook webpage, but there are some legal things I have to do such as having my official endorsement of the page etc.

I feel I need to get a FB page up, since I am trying to get the 18-40 year old vote out. Since they were under 20% of the votes cast. And since many of them do not care about politics, I feel it is essential to get that demographic out to the polls, And that those voters will hellp towards running a successful campaign.

I have to meet with a group of people willing to help me with website graphics (pick up 5-6 more of the signatures) today.
