Unfortunately, even if you don't do business with the big banks, the big banks control the federal reserve and make up the federal reserve board. They alone control interest rates, they alone dictate who gets near-interest free loans and how much they get. The only reason we have the cycle of bubbles, recessions and depressions is because of this artificially low interest rate, which creates an artificially high amount of money in circulation, most of which is being put into the stock market to drive the DOW Jones artificially high. By controlling the interest rates and which banks get bailed out and which are allowed to fail and be bought up, the Federal Reserve can manipulate the value of the US dollar, the price of commodities like gold, wheat, oil, everything, and the value of the savings which you keep believing it will retain its value. In return for this, the federal reserve, comprised of the too big to fail banks, demands interest for the loans they give out from the money they create from thin air, and this is where most of your income tax goes. Your income tax pays for the money the federal reserve creates and loans to the US Government. I hope this demonstrates just how much power these banks have and how important it is that they eventually be challenged before our great nation is forced to default on it's loans, risk spiraling into a great depression, and piss off every country that has even given us loans. These countries will feel that they deserve something in return for their loans and they will be right.
