I had all of these for my old Apple ][e. In fact, I still have the computer and the games. I should fire that shit up and have a ball. The show was the bomb diggity. I used to watch it on PBS all the time after I got home from school. The chief was indeed, as Adman said, Lynn Thigpen, also known for The District. I believe she's Yancy Thigpen's mama.

I played the game, watched the tv show, and the cartoon. And I never did find her.

I was the best at Oregon trail though. I'd blaze through that trail, maybe not everyone would make it alive, but we'd make it.

i also had this game called "bismark" which was a flight/battle ship simulator. talk about shitty block graphics and complete bullshit programming. yet somehow i found time to play this game endlessly and never beat it (or even sink an enemy ship). I never got to play oregon trail as a kid, but screw you guys for having better games than me.

UPDATE:

I've been hot on Carmen's trail for several days now. After several knife fights with her chimpanzee henchmen and some brutal games of X-Treme Go Fish (everytime the other person says 'go fish', the other players get their face horse whipped), I'm finally starting to put the pieces together. I'll keep you all posted.
