I guess Vandread would be the most obvious answer, you can try Dual too but its more of an NGE parody. And there is a Gekigangar 3 OVA, a spinoff from Nadesico.

There's always Gundam and Macross, but I wouldn't really say they are very Nadesico-like.

Other then that I don't really know, never been into mecha.

NGE is one of the best anime's out there if not the best..

NGE's ending is far from horrible.. I can understand ppl hating it but its still rly original, well made and nice O_o
