Good to see you looked up athiesm on dictionary.com. I hope it taught you something. Atheist and agnostic aren't interchangeable terms, but they can overlap. I consider myself more of an athiest. For more information, consult your local library.

edit: If you don't have any convincing reasons left, try asking your parents. I haven't had anyone change my mind so far, so I think you'd be better off trying to convince someone else thats a little more gullible.

Why can't he stop disease? Why can't he stop little kids from drowning when they fall in a pool when nobody is around? I know, because he is off helping musicians and movie stars win awards, the important things in life.
The whole idea is that God doesn't do anything. Which is why the petition is so stupid in the first place. He shouldn't be hated for "doing bad things" and he shouldnt be thanked for miracles. The whole idea of blaming/thanking a higher power for whatever the situation is completely obsurd because we are the ones responsible for "doing bad things." God didn't do anything. Good or bad. Which brings about the point of even if he existed (capital if), his existence would be pointless.

The clockmaker's theory. Even that aspect is shady.

I don't have a religion but I belief in the so called big pimp. That's enough for me. To follow your life based around a book of fiction is pure ludicrous. The funny part about it is that there are people that don't go to church or have even read the bible that will claim to be christian or catholic because not having a religion is socially unacceptable.

I will only reply this once, I have no intend to start preachin.

It is not God that does the bad thing. God gave a us free will. Adam and Eva Sined, broke the rule no to eat the fruit of rigth and wrong. So the sin came into the word, and made the human evil hearted. God is good, He is the only one that is good. As the sin is evil and twisted, things happen. Bad thing, terrible thing, murders bla bla bla etc. It becuz of the sin, bad thing happend ANd the human's freewill do do what he/she wants. Every1 chooses his own way in life. And will suffer the consecvenses (yes my super english again) of thy own choices. you know its a gift that God gave us, when Jesus came. That we could be saved trough Him and His blood.

There are ppl that call themslef Christians, but truly arent. They dont know what its all about.

True Christians, as are living today. Those who really know what the belief in Christ means. in the 1000-1600 (don know really)
well the time they killed witches/"witches" they also killed true Christians. Can you belive that there were so called Christians that had their own little show (like the cruesaders) and killed real Christian..

Ohh well nevermind. Dont bother to quote... i will not answer. I hate debating in English. Go here if you need answers. I'm sure they all will help you with your hard questions. Click this >>> Moriel Ministries messageboard Or you can go to the homesite by Clicking HERE!

When you said Adam and Eva immediately what came to my mind was Adam and Evasion. I think that was pretty funny actually. Adam dost gave evasion his apple and in return eva gave adam a squad and a bill for child support. Applied theology is delicious.

                      Earth is a battlefield.
This world is on trial for the rebellion against God.
Everything that happens in this world is a testimony of things done in the past... in the previous world. With our lives & roles we play in this world we are giving our account of our place in that rebellion.

At the height of this war, half the hosts (children of God) of the heavens were divided. God had made mortal man upon the earth and those children led by Lucifer sought power and control over the mortals. They had enslaved them to do their bidding upon the earth. The mortals were treated like beasts of burden. God was furious at His heavenly children and their disrespect for the earth He had given them. So God destroyed the earth and every living thing on it. The earth became a vast, cold and desolate wasteland. It became dark, formless & empty. We refer to it today as the last Ice Age.

The trial begins when God says, "Let there be light." He then rejuvenates the earth and creates new creatures upon it. The three parties in this trial will be 'the mortals' who were enslaved; 'the evil' or fallen third led by Lucifer; and 'the chosen' who sought only to live in peace... to the point of apathy for the majority. On the 6th day, the mortals are introduced and given 2000 years to settle, multiply and spread out. "Replenish the earth." the Lord tells them. On the 8th day, the first of God's heavenly children are placed on earth to rule upon it. Adam loses his kingship over the earth by his disobedience and gives it unknowingly to Lucifer. At the same time, Eve had been seduced by the serpent which opened the door for the fallen third to enter into this physical world. Cain is the offspring of that unholy union who shows his true colors by killing his half brother Able. Adam & Eve have another son, Seth, which means substitute, to fulfill the prophecy God had promised them upon their exile from the garden.

Remember in this trial God will have His children, either as individuals or collectively, live the story of a now ancient era. For example, Noah and the people of his time did just that. They lived high on the Pamir mountains, in a valley on the summit, today called the Pamir Plateau. At the time it was protected from the elements by a supernatural dome over the valley. The people are the legends of history and recorded by the mythologians of following generations as the gods on Mt. Olympus. There again, the children rebelled by cohabitating & procreating with those from the fallen third who were able to manifest themselves upon the earth by means other than through the womb of childbirth. There again, just as He had done to the earth, God does it to the region of Noah. The place is devastated by floods and rains and like the earth had become resulting in the Ice Age, that land too becomes a vast, cold and empty wasteland. This was the first of many occurrences to come of 'His story' repeating itself.

God was in the process of creating a new second heaven to escape the chaos and darkness caused by the rebellious third. However, the only way to this new heaven would be to take part in this trial upon the earth. In order for the heavenly children to reach the new second heaven, they would have to take their place in the physical world. They would have to be born from above; innocent of their previous existence with a clean slate. Many of the followers of Lucifer refused to be born through the womb and came directly from the heavens to the earth to cohabit with the mortals. This way they would appear like gods to the mortals and retain their supernatural powers.

The objective, as it was in the previous world, was to make the mortals aware of the Almighty, loving God. Just as the heavens were divided in half, the two halves from the heavens would ultimately divide the population of the earth in half. So half the mortals will side with evil while the other half sides with the godly.

The second heaven opened up and became populated after Jesus died on the cross. Like Moses leading the Israelites to the promised land, Jesus went to those souls that had lived their lives upon the earth hoping for the Savior promised in Genesis 3:15. This was a promise even remembered in ancient mythology: "When Hermes was urging Prometheus to give in to Zeus he spoke of this, but in such a way as to make it seem an incredible sacrifice:- Look for no ending to this agony Until a god will freely suffer for you, Will take on him your pain, and in your stead Descend to where the sun is turned to darkness, The black depths of death."

God is real and He reveals Himself to those who approach Him with reverence. Like Moses had to take off his sandals in the presence of the Lord in the burning bush, we have to remove those things that ground us to this world. We know in our hearts what God wants from us and it's our pride in ourselves and our accomplishments that keep God from introducing Himself to us. If we really want God to reveal Himself to us then we have to
do what God wants for us. God became man and lived among us. He gave up His position of power to come into this world to sacrifice Himself. Those that do the same, i.e. surrender their lives for the Lord to use, will be greatly rewarded beyond human understanding in the kingdom to come.

Since this world is a repeat of the former world and we're really giving our testimony of where we were in that world, it's those that fought against the rebellion that God reveals Himself to so that in this world, they can fight with the same zeal they did in the previous world. These people are called 'the elect' and are the True believers upon the earth.

When Jesus returns, all people, Christian & non-Christian will be taught the truth and Judgment Day will be based on what the people have learned during the millennial reign of Christ.

 i'm way out there and i know it

Bioture, I'm not trying to convince you of anything.

I merely looked up agnostic on dictionary.com so I could easily paste it. In none of your posts have you denied the existence of a God, you've danced around your personal view on it this whole time, but when you said "Is there a god? Maybe..." that tipped me off that you yourself aren't sure about the whole thing, making you an agnostic.

I posted the athiest definition to show the difference between the two, and you haven't shown me that you're athiest other than claiming "i'm an athiest" when in fact, you don't know..and you're agnostic.

Heavensent, in these types of posts, it's not a good idea to start preaching, nor is it a good idea to get your feelings and personal beliefs mixed up in the discussion (as many of you have). Hasn't anyone had a real debate?

The fact that God doesn't come out and say "Hey guys, for all of those who aren't sure, I exist" is because he has his reasons for things....again, how can the finite understand the means of the infinite?
                            Ну вот...

                              i know, you're right.
I don't usually get into these discussions as you can see by the number of posts i've made. I merely made what some in football would call a hail mary. I don't seek to convert anyone as anyone could conclude by reading what i've posted on the matter.

I'm in a paradox. If i had told everyone about my father on earth, that would be considered normal. Yet when I speak of my real Father and everythings He's done for me and revealed to me, then i'm preaching. I am an island rejected by both coasts; the god-haters and the mainstreamer Christians. That's ok though. All will be revealed in the end.

I don't debate either... God changes hearts, not men.
