sex is just the consumation of love.
without love there should not be sex but with out sex there can and should be love
a man that cant have sex can still have love but a man that cant have love should not have sex.
if sex is not the consumation of ur love for the person u have it with u should consider not haveing it...more on this latter

with everybody making sex such a big deal...why do faithful christian couples (those who don't have anything to do with sex) do so well? hell, most of them don't even make out, and in the long run....they rarely get divorced and they live long happy lives together

sex is not as important as you think it is, but then again i guess it's easy to say that for someone who's never experienced it

so therefore it becomes important to those who know what it's like, it's just a feeling you know, it's not as important as you think it is

I don't understand what basis people have for saying that love doesn't exist. If you haven't been in love, fine, but that's not proof that love doesn't exist, it's probably proof that you have an acne/weight/social competence problem, and can't meet chicks, sorry.

The word love is also used when describing the act of sex with another person that is deeply cared for (or something to that degree). Instead of refering to sexual acts as 'making love' we should simply call them sexual acts, or just plain sex.

Enough with the pathetic attempts to hide the emotions behind words that create intangible ideals. Love is an illusion and sex is simply sex whether it be for pleasure or reproductive purposes.

"making love" is just a euphemism.... like when someone "kicks the bucket" they don't really kick a bucket.... people say that to make getting down and dirty look nicer and cleaner.

Men have a natural tendency towards sex, some people can repress it, but those people are missing out on a great part of life... as for the old catholic couple that doens't have sex all the time, you don't think that guy's jerking off every chance he gets while thinking about the neighbor lady? He's happy on the outside, but repressed on the inside.

Priests.. perfect example.. try to repress your natural urges, what happens? You end up a gay man surrounded by little boys.. disaster strikes. (and yes, I believe a large percentage of priests are gay men who couldn't bear the thought of being gay because their own beliefs had them so fucked up that they coudln't even accept it themselves, much less think about how their families would react).

Word has it that the pope is getting ready to check out. Maybe the new pope will bring the church back to reality and let women and/or married guys be priests.

If the new pope decided that birth control was ok, would hell have to release all the people who used it under the old system?

Let me justify the "love as an action" part. Your father might love you, but that is very conditional. If your father loves you, he would work to feed you. he would pay your college tuition. He would teach you to ride a bike - all of these are actions, and not a feeling.

if your dad lived in a trailer, dosen't work, and can't even afford to feed you - or even tried to better your life, can you honestly say that he honestly loves or even cares about you?

Therein lies the argument that love as a feeling is nothing but an illusion.

some one correct me if i'm wrong, but the vaticant has to vote for that, which means all the cardinals and stuff... the pope isn't like a Catholic dictator.

No, I'm pretty sure it's all up to the pope. when the pope dies, all the cardinals get locked in a room until they decide who the new pope is, and that guy like the church king. but he's been a cardinal his whole life and all that, so they're picking from guys who basically share the same views.
