I guess this movie could be summed up as the following:

Ignoring the obvious plot holes, ignoring the obvious continuity errors, ignoring the bad acting (during one emotional scene where Keanu was being emotional, one guy started laughing in the theatre... no one told him to shut up but instead EVERYONE in the theatre started laughing), ignoring the obviously animated characters and ignoring the lack of a real story... the movie was a pretty fun action movie.

Yes I have to agree watching the SAME fight scene for the 19th time just isn't exciting anymore, but there were other good parts!

It was much shorter than the last movie, and I have to say that final attack on Zion is worth the price of admission alone. Sure the robots fought stupidly (then again if there are millions of them and they don't really care much I guess a strategy really isn't needed), but damn it was entertaining.

Watching that scene makes me realize that a live-action 'giant robot' (term from animes featuring these giant robots) movie would be possible. Too bad they'll probably never make one... but still! I did read a while back though that they're exploring the possiblity of a live-action Transformers movie... so I'm keeping my fingers crossed (the press release was on the Hasbro website so it was pretty official, not just a rumour).

Either way, the Matrix trilogy is what happens when you split one and a quarter movie's worth of plot and action into three movies (with the quarter movie being the final attack on zion combined with the car chase scene from Reloaded). They cashed in, and they cashed in big. Even though, I think my $8.75 student price was well spent. As an overall movie, I'd give it 2/5, as an action movie 5/5 for sure.

      That about sums it up.

If you were looking for a ground-breaking life-changing movie, you were in the wrong theater.

The first one was so loved because they took a normal guy and threw him into this insane and awesome world and left you with a ton of mystery. no conclusion could've met expectations. The second one knocked my expectations down and the third one delivered to the newly modified expectations.

              what about them?

for those who did see the movie, i'm sure this phrase passed through ur head (or the entire audience) at one particular point: "Just DIE already."

i liked it. The movie's action is concentrated in separate scenes. As someone said, the Zion battle scene was worth the whole movie alone. And the end IS very disappointing, since it ended in a gay gay way, which leaves you wanting to see what happens after.

The movie was only slightly better than DBZ. I figure the Zion battle, getting to see certain people croak, and how they managed to write the fact the Oracle actress died into the script made it decent. But the best part was the Return of the King trailer.

Edit: Obligatory "I hated the goddamn ending" comment.

Reminded me of DBZ too, which is not a good thing.

The whole plot direction they went with for the 2nd and 3rd movie didn't just work for me. And that french guy, oh my god all the scenes with him were incredibly awful (yeah yeah except for the wife). The ending was just sooo "ok what's the easiest way to wrap this up", embarrasing. Worth the money to see it once, once the fighting starts you'll stay entertained, but you'll be disappointed in it by the end.

You got a Return of the King trailer in yours? Damnit, I was hoping for that throughout the previews and got dumbass movie previews instead.

pfff, the 1st one really was quite good, at least give that one credit if not the 2nd and 3rd. I rewatched it when they played it on tv (only the 2nd time I'd seen it) and it just made this one more disappointing.
