I had the misfortune of watching the Final Fantasy film the other night, fell asleep 35 mins into it. If I wanted to see computer graphics I'd watch someone playing a computer game. Apparently they spent £1.5m on the girls hair, I can think of something better to spend £1.5m on, ACTORS!

what the shit are you babbling about? windwaker owns - i think it may be the best zelda game ever or at least tied with ocarina of time.

first of all, yes you aren't link persay in the beginning of windwaker but if you actually play the game you'll realise that the plot line will play out to where zelda comes in and you're more or less link...it's an interesting change.

additionally, the cartoony graphics are cool in my opinion. it makes the gameplay so much smoother. if you have some hangup on not playing 'kiddie games' then maybe i can understand why it would bother you but other than that this is classic zelda with some of the best graphics it's ever had. gameplay = awesome. i give windwaker 9.5/10 (i haven't finished it yet so i may give it a 10 in the future).

Um... you do know that they've already used multiple Links in previous games, right? I mean, Zelda 1 and 2 both had the same Link, but 3 is different but Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask had the same Link too, but he was also different from the previous ones. In a sense, they've all been kids dressed in green who happened to be reincarnations of the same legendary hero.

Anyone who dislikes Windwaker because it's too cartoony is being silly. Firstly, ther aspects of the game made it an excellent game, and secondly that cartoony look gave this Link far more character, expression and artistry than the N64 ones. Yes, it was also very Japanese anime-influenced, but you know what? That shouldn't be surprising when you remember that the people who developed it are Japanese.

the zelda series has always had dark theme to it (refer to the nes zelda instruction manual to see what i'm talking about). and sorry, but a goofy japanese midget with cat-like facial features doesn't strike me as particularly dark. windwalker's graphics are a huge turn-off for me. i'm sure the storyline is all fascinating and stuff, though.

Majora's Mask has been nominated as the most difficult game for the N64 console. I never knew that. I still think that Ocarina of time had a high replay value for some reason, even though the story was highly linear. First I beat it trying to find all the skulltulas, second time i beat it with 3 hearts, then with 20.

The final battle with Ganon in Windwaker is much darker than any of the previous ones, in my opinion.
