  • any Zep-heads out there?

i kinda grew up listening to led zeppelin because of my parents and such but recently i've really gotten into listening to them and for about the past 2 or 3 months that's all i've been listening to.
who else likes their work and what's your favourite album or song? mine's probably IV but houses of the holy is very close.

my dad listens to them quite a lot, he's also seen on the led-zep DVD.

damn, they did a lot of fantastic stuff...

i don't really have a fave album, but it would be between their 4th album and physical graffiti.

fave song would be kashmir, no doubt.

Physical graffiti for best album (and best album cover, vinyl version).

EDIT: just remembered the album cover to III, that's even better, the whole spinny thing.

I didn't realize other people liked Led-Zep! I thought they were like super underground!

I've never been too in to them, but I like some of their songs.

But what's the deal with the Tolkien references? I mean, it's hard to think of Page and Plant as being rock legends if you can picture them dressing up as Sam and Frodo to see the movies.

lol i dunno. they do have plenty of tolkien references and since i am a tolkien fan i don't have too much of a problem with it. i'm pretty sure they all got into that witchcraft shit a little bit but not a whole lot. meh some of their lyrics are really good and some are average but individually i think led zeppelin has the best lineup ever (except for bands like oysterhead and whatever band jerry garcia and a couple other big names made int he 70s...king's something maybe?).

shade: useless comment, thanks for dropping by in case i was thinking "i wonder if shade's child has looked at my thread yet." because i was.

You just don't get enough 10 minute drum solos in music nowadays.

Ps. Jimmy Page owned I think you'll find.

                          marvelous.

bonham and page owned. JPJ though is way underrated. some of his keyboard and bass work is fantastic - not to much mention the fact that he was the driving artistic force behind led-zep until IV came out and page took over. and then plant is one of my favourite vocalists.

Black Sabbath is ten times better than Led Zepplin. But my favourite song by them ofcourse would be black dog!

Verthanthi you probably dont know much about music if you think that about Led Zepplin thats pretty hilarious. Led Zepplin are rated one of the best bands of all time, thats like saying The Beatles are underground.
