If you have never played the game before and are making a name then it wouldn't bug you that one was taken. You wouldn't even kown they hadn't been on forever. Then if your someone that has played a while why would you want to change names?

Some people like to pretend their someone else. It's called 'Too Much Internet Complex', and it's where people think they live the lifestyle of someone else. They use or have multiple names to feel like they are many different people, and thus have "friends."

I dunno! Multiple personalities I guess. I've used 'King Baba' for years even before I played SS, so I'm a one-named-man army.

heres an idea for you...I havent been on the forums in the longest time, and this is maybe my 2nd post ever in the history of the trench wars forums. People have to keep posting this f ing topic to get it heard, cause no1 seems to do anything about it.
And to all you retards who think players are trying to impersonate others, get a clue..maybe we just like a screen name that happens to not be in use. Its not about impersonating other people, at least not for me it isnt.

The search function doesn't work for posts made before the update.

TK, it's not that they're ignorant that it's been brought up before, or that "Hey, nobody's said this before."

It's purely the fact that the name resetting system doesn't need any change. All the "good" names are gone. So what? Why not be original and make your own name? If four years ago "Mootland Farmer" or "2dragons" had walked into pub, people might have said "oh, a newbie." People should be creative and make their own names, not just search for obscure dictionary definitions or wait around forever to get the "non-newbie" version of their name.

People should spend more time making a reputation for themselves and the persona behind the name instead of worrying about a period or an underscore in it.

My beef isn't whether something needs to be done or not, just that people shouldn't have their complaints dismissed because "things have been said before". It's crap like that that make it hard for people to participate on these forums and turns some into the next poop/zeta/abrasion/etc...

if you want a name and it's not yours there are a few things you can do:

add: azn_ as a prefix
surround the name with xX Xx
add any random number to the end, may i suggest 1562
replace any L or I with a 1
replace any E with 3
replace any T with 7
replace any A with 4
replace any O with 0
put the word sniper anywhere in the name

if all these names are taken, message me in game and i'll be happy to give you some alternative ideas.
