I find I get specced for slow ploss only when I am downloading and uploading on Bittorrent or a similar program. Must happen when the connection is congested.

It happens to me all the time, and I never multitask with my dialup because I simply can't. Hell, I don't even leave instant messaging programs running when I'm playing SS.

I've never been specced by the new matchbots for slow ploss and I am normally ok in base. In javduel and wbduel (Where lag limit is lower, at 200ms) I am continually getting specced. My ave ping in TW is 90 (I rarely get people telling me I lag, when I do I can see it in ?ping) But the Matchbots there continually spec me for spiking at something stupid like 202.45433534ms.
I would like to make a request to please not implement these "MatchbotR"s into TWL or even TWD as many players would simply not be able to play. There's not much I can do to make my connection any faster (except paying a lot more per month) I have a 600k cable connection and I never download whilst playing.

LOOK AT THAT C2S! Very high indeed. Also i've noticed that my ping usually wsa 40-60 now it's 70-60, something happen while i was away for 2 weeks or what?

My opinion on the slow packet loss is such. I think the limit needs to be definetely higher. But it does help detect laggers. Just now, it seems to get rid of all the legit players as well since the limit is too low.

The only people being punished by slow packetloss are dialup users. Naturally, dialup being the slowest connection you can get, slow packetloss is going to be most prevalent for those on a 56k. It's just not fair to single out that particular demographic of the player base.

I haven't read most of this thread beyond the first post, but just a little something on this note. I believe it's a lot more fair to single out the dial-up demographic than to single out people based upon where they live, geographically.

People who have seen me play SS at any time know that I lag like hell although I know very well I shouldn't be. The 10% packetloss and 1000+ ms ping should not be there when I have cable and yet it happens. All I can do now is complain to my ISP to get them to exchange my crap, obsolete, 7 year modem for a new one. I can't even get a new ISP/connection because the area which I live in has only 1 ISP otherwise I would have to resort to dialup. By 1 ISP, I mean that the ISP that's in my area has monopolized the service and DSL will NEVER be able to come here.

My packetloss is the worst part of all because s2c and c2s are horrible with 3-6% each sometimes. I contacted my ISP several times to ask them about this. They pinged my system and say they found NOTHING. Now that is the biggest bullshit I've ever heard. With the new bots implemented in TWL, TWD, and even in base, javduel, and wbduel, I don't know how the hell I'm actually going to play any of these games when the new bots are there. By setting a 3.0% packetloss limit, the number of players significantly drop because during peak hours and around peak hours, this will really aggravate players.
