The Elim World Championship will feature the 20 best players from 2019. It will take place: DATE TBD. ANTICIPATED AFTER TWDT/THE NEW YEAR.
Players receive Championship Points for high placement in Seasons 9, 10, 11, and 12.
For example, during the current season (Season 10), the Top 20 players will receive points based on how they finished in Warbird and Javelin (both separate leagues.)
255 Championship Points are awarded each season, for a grand total of 1020 total points. The theoretical minimum to mathematically qualify for the Finals is 51 points (1020 points divided by 20 players), but in practice it will be in the 40s.
If you finish #1 in Season 9, you receive 50 Championship Points, which is essentially automatic qualification for all intents and purposes. If you do not play Seasons 10, 11, and 12, you would still qualify for the Finals.
If you finish #4, #7, #10 and #12, you will have over 50 Championship Points as well, and be guaranteed a spot. Since the same 20 players won't always be in the Top 20, and points will be unevenly distributed, hitting around 40 points across all four seasons is likely enough to qualify for the Finals.
Current Standings (as of May 9th):
For now, aliases will be combined at my discretion, counting only 1 name per season.
For example, Caos has both his main name and ugandan sniper in the Top 20 for Season 9.
I will count whichever is higher and apply the Championship Points to his main name. The lower one will be discarded, and the next highest player will receive those points instead.
So if Caos is #3 and ugandan sniper #5, I will discard ugandan, and award the #5 Championship Points to the #6 player.
I will also discard aliases for the Elim Map in general. If you finish #1 and #3, the #3 alias will not be shown on the map, and the #4 player will be considered to be the #3.
Feeding, Teaming, everything that you know is wrong already in elim is illegal, and may result in permanent disqualification from the EWC. Having other people play on your name to rank you up is also against the rules.
Anyone caught doing these by a mod will receive a warning. If it happens again, they will then be disqualified from receiving Championship Points for that season. If banned from 2 seasons, you will be completely removed from the EWC and ineligible for the Final.
