Yeah, crazy how stuff happens like that. And people just end up taking information to their grave that could keep something going for years after. I suppose all I'd really like is the proper .conf files for the classic TW pub arena. But I'm sure nobody will cough those up either. Got a server running locally, and was able to actually go in and run around an old base map, but there's no flag, and no timer, and no bots doing anything, and the ship settings are from svs-dueling lol.

Priit wouldn't even trust Mr Ekted who programmed Continuum with him to see the source, so take a wild guess if we will ever see it. Years ago there was realization that KaZaA and Skype (Priit projects) both seemed to have some protocol and security similarities to Continuum. Could have been a coincidence, but it spawned the suspicion that some of Continuum's source code was used in those projects.

I've been playing SS since summer of 1998. My original username was masterofpuppets86. I just came back last night and today from probably another 8 year hiatus, and wow. It's ridiculous. Spookedone was on the opposing team, and got angry at dying to my shark mines, and the fact that they TK'd someone on my team when Spookedone's teammate (shark) repelled them. It's part of the damn game. It happens. Just like unintentional jav bombs sometimes TK. Well, we finally got the FR, and then all of the sudden the timer goes off (which I don't really care that much about), but others were pissed, because it was right after we had finally re-gained control of the FR from Spookedone's team. Then though, my mines I was setting at the entrance to FR now, to set it up for defense, were blowing up on their own within two seconds of being placed. It was obvious that Spookedone was adjusting setting live to ruin the gameplay. Absolutely unacceptable behavior. The game has settings that make it the game we love. Messing with those live during gameplay lacks integrity and completely destroys this game. I received team and private messages from multiple people that this has been a growing problem with Spookedone, and something needs to happen. Yeah, something does need to happen. Spookedone needs to GO, and the game needs to just be set up with the damn settings of all the ships intact, the map, and leave it alone so we can play it. Good lord, this is ridiculous. I won't be coming back to the game ever again until that chode is gone.

My grandfather who I was very close with passed away before I could finish restoring and beefing up his old Cutlass. I blamed all the time, energy, and money I was putting into this game as the reason I didn't make more progress. That and just the toxicity that was growing in the community at the time pushed me to just shut my stuff down, pack my bags, and leave.

Few people been bugging me for almost a year now on Discord to set some stuff back up (https://www.ssforum.net & https://www.ssdownloads.com), so figure the least I can do for the community is do that. They're good people, so hard to keep saying no or too busy.

As someone pointed out when I explained how the game really stepped off a cliff years ago, the same month I showed on some graphs, Android first released. Mobile games started the decline we see now I guess.

Can't play anymore with people like Spookedone in charge or this idiot staffer Sprackle who exploits these awful troll pub settings or camps in corners ruining pub games daily while he gets to multi client and use his fake player bots whenever he wants to. The pub settings are constantly troll, and they literally allow league blocking by the small pack of trolls in this pathetic MMR crap left. It's a daily occurrence for me and a few others. Everyone should be allowed to play but it's no longer that. Why anyone would want to donate to a game doing this nonsense is beyond me. It's been a trollfest impossible scenario for over 2 years now. I'll leave now because YOU ALL SUCK WHO ARE IN CHARGE minus qan but qan should no longer be in charge either as he is out of touch and logs in too seldomly. Qan is not all bad though. I've seen this wild ban / block bs from same asshats daily when I am not abusing and have ratings that are decent or better than those doing these blocks too. I've seen other diehards continuum players also blocked too because they are trolled or have this same small group who want to gang up and abuse the block feature on them too. It could be great again but the house needs to be cleared and have REAL MODERATORS with the health of the game take over. That means NOT blocking people from playing no matter how poor they are.. I gave my all to the game as a twl cap and a twdt cap and participated in countless leagues and helped our player base as a staffer daily and also worked my ass off to help us during the steam launch(another complete fail by the higher ups) and was a top call taking staffer for 10 years but got fired due to staff corruption by henry saari who wound up getting usurped himself.. karma is a funny thing.. but now this guy spookedone takes the cake as the most incompetent staffer ever to head up Trench Wars. He has fostered an environment of hate and privilege to even be allowed to play the game towards vets like myself.
