I'd have to agree with jason here, actually...i find "freebie" sites, "useful" sites et cetera all the time, but there's never really a forum apt for them.

Daemon angell: IMO, I don't find em so annoying, but I would if there would be made 2 of those threads everyday. Else I just ignore them or check it out whats all the fuzz about. And you know, you never get anything for free, if you gave your product for free you would never gain any profit, therfore your company would go bankrupt. So there is always something behind it to catch a innocent customer. Think about it how many people accually click on a ad. How many people are there in the world, last time I check there were many and lots of em. So the chance of getting clicks is enormous. I would be out of one million, at min 1000 would accually click on the ad.

I know in USA they have dedicated tv channels with ONLY commercial. And people accually watch it and buy the crap they sell. It's all about making $$ these days, and big time.

So out of the tw community, some of us has tripped into the commercial trap.

So even if they say, "there is no catch, or this is no scam, its for real! FREE FREE FREE!". So keep it in mind, there is always a catch, noone wants to give away things for free for nothing. Of course there are exteptions, but those aren't made by companies, but by persons, whom accually wants to give something freely away, without benefits or what so ever.

yes, and all the people that want to advertise stuff so they can get better stuff (referals, that's all these things really are...) can be forced to go there where it is easier to ignore them

If a line needs to be drawn, it should stop when people sign up just to advertise for whatever they are offering. I mean, if it's a contributing member of this community that's into something and wants to share it, it's fine, but when someone makes a new forum account just to advertise, then that's just spam.
