Pubbing for 1000+hour users

I've been trying to play pub more and attract more players to play in pure pub. more of the "vets".

What I been thinking, the bricks (doors) in public on the side entrance don't do an awful lot, and they aren't used in ?go base either.
Why not use them to close off holes or the entire roof, you can leave them off in regular publics, but Guanobots could turn those doors on when basing is enforced. That way people don't get tempted to use intense basing arena's for laming on roof. (I know whiterabbits and TSM are going to appeal to this idea, but they are just lame so.. )

ever since the purepub thingy i play alot more pub then at first, so this i think is also a very nice idea, and then also stick to the pure pub thing :up: :up:

People that like to base and have over a thousand hours of usage already left public for ?go base. If they feel like basing in public they will, I don't see it happen that a base with usage requirements will stay alive while ?go base is up and running.
It would be more a matter of trying to get those >1k users to play public more often. Nowadays public basing is hardly rewarding because there aren't enough good players there. When you are a good player you can basicly get flagroom for your team, and what happens next is that the enemy team falls apart; the majority will change into javelin or terrier to lame it up on roof, rather than launch a coordinated attack.

Being the superior levi in continuum is hard somtimes caus there always people who are good who spoil my fun .

I do, I hate it when people say "OMG pub is for newbs", "Go play pub newbie"
There are pubs where is it overloaded with newbs, who just started on are too dumb to understand the game. There are also cool pubs, where you can really base, where you don't have a hundred of javs, 1 spider, 5 wb's and 20 terriers crossing around. When I play pub, I still like it, so stop saying "Go pub newb". You better say "no"

Lol, ok but seriously.. I think people can play pretty decent after about 100 hours of playing... ive got about 30 hours of playing and i think i am a "decent" player at least :/
The aim could ofcourse be better, but i know how to use each ship and how to avoid tk'ing...

But please explain to a "newbie" who only plays on Arena 1-4 how all other arena's work... Ive heard alot of talk about TWLD, TWBD or whatever and i wish someone could for once explain what it is

Sure, but I think it's also on the FAQ on this forum.

TWD = Trench Wars Divisions
TWL = Trench Wars leagues

TW Divions is free for all, TW Leagues is only for people who qualified for leagues trough the free for all TWD (and the squads that made playoffs last leagues get a wildcard). Both those leagues are seperated in 3 styles: Duel (5v5 warbirds) Javelin (5v5 javelins) and Basing (8v8 flag-game)
They are called:
Trench Wars Duel Division (TWDD)
Trench Wars Javelin Division (TWJD)
Trench Wars Basing Division (TWBD)
and in leagues:
Trench Wars Duel League (TWL-D)
Trench Wars Javelin League (TWL-J)
Trench Wars Basing League (TWL-B)

I've been looking into the bot thing and....it might take a bit, the twcore doesn't support this type of a thing..yet, I'm in school now so I can't really look into it right now but from what i was doing last night I think it MIGHT be possible

It'd be interesting to have an arena, not a pub, set up with some higer usage limits.

I think people with higher usage will still go to the other pubs to own the nooblets from time to time. A 'pub like' arena with people who basically know what they are doing would be fun, don't have to have set 8v8 teams so you can have better competetion on a larger scale.

I see nothing but good times from this idea.
