I like it as it is, and I'm not complaining, and the pure pub was big bonus for a pubber as me. If you are a true pubber you will understand that you will get spawn many times, you will see bad mines, you will get tked. But if you have some skill you are able to avoid such things.

And what everyone else have said.. if you want a good base game ?go base.

Why do I have a opinoin like this?
First of all, I don't have over 1000 hours on any name I have used, but in a total I have more then 1500+ pure game play.

2nd "issue", there are arenas such as ?go javs, ?go wbduel, ?go javduel, ?go base, %12, ?go twdd/bd/jd... and then we have ?go TWLD/LB/LJ... what more? ?go zombies ?go javs2 ?go base2 ?go base3.. you get my idea.

Although I'd like to see a different levi instead of pure pub I'm very glad that there is a possiblitiy to base in pub nowadays. IMHO a 1000-hour pub wouldn't benefit the zone as a whole for reason stated by others.

I've been looking into the bot thing and....it might take a bit, the twcore doesn't support this type of a thing..yet, I'm in school now so I can't really look into it right now but from what i was doing last night I think it MIGHT be possible

This is a neat idea for "vet" pubbers who want to avoid all those nubs who fly around in the spawn zone randomly killing people. Athough i sux at pub and have a 0/0 WL, it sounds good.

I think most of you are missing the point of the idea here...I do not care about the spawn/tks/mining sucking. I would like a pub like this so there can be organization on a large scale not just 8 people like in base. Wouldn't it be cool if everyone actually tried to get the flag instead of flying around outside the base? That happens even in pure pubs because people are put in there randomly. Think of a lt with 3 levis on each side of the fr while there is a massive fight for the flag. this is the kinda basing i want. I think it could be done if the organization that comes with usage in an arena made for this type of battle. The limit of players per freq should be high to accomplish such an arena. This is not just to get rid of the new players. This is just to create the next level of compitition in Trench Wars. Just one idea that popped into my head.

I have just have one question, why would a player with alot of usage, like a 1000 hours, be more inclined to base in pub than a new (100- hours) player who discovered basing not long ago? I don't see the connection, because I know at least I don't always base in pub and I'm got 1000 hours of usage several times over... :/

I've said this before, but bringing a game bot into a pub or two would really improve the zone as a whole;

Basically, a ?go base type game in pub that allows for 17vs17 (34 players+bot=35 people in arena) teams, with no captain needed so that people can switch ships as they please. There would be 2 freqs. Both teams have to fight over the flag, and the first team to hold it for 10 minutes would win. The incentive to win would be that the winning team get's some kind of points prize. The prize the player got could be based on the particular player's time played in that match, his performance- kills/deaths/stats etc. The bot could reset a players stats for that game if he switched freqs, which would deter people from freq hopping to the winning team just as they are going to win, as they would get essentially no reward since they had been on the winning freq for such a short amount of time.

This would be a great place for casual pubbers and even more hardcore players to play in. It would introduce a lot of new people to the basing aspect of TrenchWars, and would really give a much needed boost to the basing community and would improve TW as a whole.

Of course we could still keep a majority of the pubs as regular arenas to screw around, levterr, spawn people etc, but I think a lot of people would love an addition to TW like this.

What if someone with high scores accidently joins in this arena and the match end right away. And he joined in with a ship, and not in spec mode. Bot happily resets his score, and wuump, score gone..

Make the freq's locked so you can't changed while you enter. Don't forget ship limits either. I personally believe Stab's idea is very good. $

Of course you know, this idea can only make regular pubs worse. The single worst problem affecting pubs today is not the levis or teamkillers or the spawners or the weasels or the "lamecasters" or anything like that. The worst problem is that people are giving up on it. The other reasons do have their affect, but "veteran neglect" is what's turning pubs into TW's slum.

Not enough people know how to shut up and listen to common sense. Fix this damn zone and stop adding shit that no one upkeeps.

Personally... I think it would be cool do have such an arena, but how are you going to keep the people with less than 1k usage out of the arena?

If the arena is full and they people with <1k usage are all in spec (In the arena) the arena remains full.

Solution: Do not let people in the pub with less usage.
Solution1.1: Let them stay in spec, but dont let them have an affect on the arena population.

I think he means resets the stats of the player stored by the bot, not actualy score, wins, losses etc.
