after just spending 2 hours in the purepub and a bit in base and played a nice zombie game hosted by Dameon Angell and shade/melo thanks :up: . i completely agree with u jason, the players now are horrible, so very horrible... i actually may jus play in a arena all by myself then i can avoid the "newb, owned" comments which are so very annoying

have you ever seen idiots like schope and roiwerk (not roi obviously) and crackheads like that in baseelim. i switched to baseelim about 2 years ago because elim was getting so fucking stupid with those type of people and there were more recognizable people in baseelim, but now the idiots have migrated.

then i occasionally (OCCASIONALLY) ?go base ...and theres 2 idiots there arguing about something ridiculous (usually one of the 2 is "Kings")

the zone is going straight to hell.

as i said, this newer generation sucks. it's not just that they're new and i'm out of touch with them (which is of course true also), they are really fucking stupid by and large. i was in that position once. i didn't act like that. the guys who came up around me, none of us acted like that. the zone was just plain better 2+ years ago, and it was because of the people.

that's why i don't know how to fix it. the guys i like are gone, replaced by guys i really don't like.

The new generation is : Cocky and ehm.....mostly cocky. The majority of the things they'll ever say is mostly ez and noob.
Ok, so I've only been playing tw for a year or so, but i even notice the difference between then and now.

I don't think it's limited to pubs TK. I wouldn't have a fucking clue as far as dueling is concerned but a lot of older basers have left the ?go base arena, even I don't play as much anymore. Yeah, there's always enough people to play but the games are shit and the new players are not pulling their egos out of their asses long enough not to hop to another squad (making the leagues unstable and basicly boring).

The problem isn't limited to pubs, but that's where they began.

This reminds me of back when I used to RP on AOL (you can't laugh, because this is a free 2D space game) when it was something like 6+ years ago or so when RP were good and people weren't stupid as fuck. All I can say is, the better RPers just migrated to private areas, or made RP rooms and they had the ability to kick people. Maybe make a pub/elim/base etc etc with a bot set up where either only people with certain amounts of usage gets in (don't make it too high, there's people that have played for a long time but don't have a large usage amount, quality>quantity), or where you can vote idiots out.

I never use ?ignore because it actually amuses me when people go like Omikron and kodiak007 always go "ez" "die boi", because it's just sad that they have to be idiots on a game.

I say maybe have a mod in the arena(s) at all times so they can "muffle" people, making them unable to type into pub chat or wherever they are spamming their idocy for a certain amount of time, usually in MMOs it's between 1 and 5 minutes. If they do it again, muffle them for double or triple the time, if they continue their idiocy for a 3rd time, ban them, for a day, a week, forever, I don't care.

So the ideas are this Jason, and I hope they are to your liking:

Certain pubs, both basing and elim, with either entrance restrictions or an always present mod when people are in or a mod that can be called in at any time.

A mod in all areans who can gag idiots for a time being and ban them if needed.

As for poorly played, boring games, there's not a whole lot you can do until people get better. I was brought in by an ex friend and taught pretty well, took me a bit to get used to it so maybe they (the smart new people anyway) just need time to become better, non-boring players.

That's my two cents anyway.

Alot of newbs have 1000 hours now though. It makes me angry when I recognize when a pubber begins playing in elim, and I see him a month later in elim again spouting off at everyone that kills them, newbs really don't know their place. Then a month later that same newb is in elim2, I swear some people have gotten more usage in 5 months playing this game than I have in 4 years.

Then what happens is these newbs change their name from something like Ultra_killer22 to some name they believe is elite like "EXAMPLIFY" or something retarded like that to make it look like they are elite. Then they join dragonguard or some other newb squad and think they are big shits even though they haven't played the game for a year.

I guess the problem is that there are too many kids playing this game that can't handle that they aren't the best.

you enter an arena and you recognize maybe (BIG maybe) 2 out of 20 names

you play a game of base with all those unfamiliar characters and it's a shitty, poorly played, boring game

you go to elim and baseelim, it's overcrowded like whoa with, you guessed it, more of those people you don't know

our zone became overrun with a newer generation of players at some point (i missed it i guess) and these new dudes suck

they're boring people, unimaginative, young and therefore immature to the point of being deserving of a bitchslap or two
