I dont really play pub anymore, but i decided to have a go today, and its no way near as fun as it used to be. In my opinion its due to the pure pub settings, where u can only LT in lower pubs that get a max of 25 ppl, due to ppl not wanting to play with newbs tht are only there because they dont know how to change arenas.

I think it would be alot better if Normal pub's were brought back where levis and priv freq are allowed, this would make ppl look forward to pure pub weekends (hopefully getting a high total of players at the weekends too) and ?go base would also get more interest. Plus Levi's are dying out!

I remeber the day when it took ages to get base, then an LT would pop up on roof and Destroy it, and the whole team would change to wb and hunt it Bring it back! bring back the fun! :light:

i dont particularly fly levis but they were fun to hunt when they destroyed base, gives it more variation

Weasel got done over... For gods sake change the Levi into something helpful. Make it its own ship. They're just turrets right now, you can't run around soloing in a Levi, you can't even really be part of a team. Hell, it can still be the slowest and have the most firepower, but the way it is now is just extremist and ridiculous.

Seriously, fuck the Leviathan. There's nothing about it that is salvageable. I hold out more hope for the Lancaster (if there had been a few more tweaks, it would have worked) than I do for the levi.

Why people want to complain about ship six, instead of the laughable insult that happens to be ship 4, eludes me. Pure pubs are stacked full, all the time. Maybe while you're changing settings staff people you ought to take a look at that and remedy in settings what you have a bot doing. That is to say, stop using a band aid as a fix for surgery.

And by the way, before anyone even says it:
I don't -care- if people want to LT. They shouldn't get their kicks by fucking with every body else. Removed, people would bitch, but keep it gone long enough and the "new bullshit" becomes just the standard way of how things are. If some teenagers are unhappy during the transition, who cares, teenagers are fucking always unhappy about something or other.

The lev could be changed to be a viable ship that serves as a force of "heavy artillery" without it being insanely annoying, useless, and deadly to even the people that happen to be on the same side.

The point is, new players are introduced to public arenas first. What is it you want your zone to project to the brand new player here for the first time? That it's a constructive game with tactics and a goal oriented atmosphere? Or that even when you're trying to play for that goal, if you can't manage it, fuck it, it's easier to just get in that one ship with the blue bombs and fuck with everybody in the whole arena. And Jason.. when you read this.. a prime example of why you see crap in the zone. It's just too fucking easy to be annoying to everbody else.

I used to think LT'ing was fun. Then I realized that LT'ing involves being a cockbag towards people who are just trying to play the game the way it was meant to be played, instead of fucking with everybody else. Keep the fat, useless Levis in pub 39 where they belong.

Lting really is fun...I liked it a lot back in the days but I prefer Pure Pub.
Would be cool if there was a weekend with old settings again but then again everybody would be lting in pub 0 which would be stupid

LTing is somewhat enjoyable, but most of the time i can't find a decent terr who knows shots and how to set portal (omg) so i just go purepub.
