lol subspace is fine the way it is.

as other zones die out those people will either quit or be assimilated by TW.

Trench Wars will be the last zone in SS, that's a no-brainer.

I'm pretty sure it will be around 5 years from now, and probably 10. It's like the designers of Halo said, you nail that 30 seconds of fun gameplay, and you have a game. Subspace is fun, and despite the same gameplay over the last like 6 years in TW, people still play it.

With 6 billion people in the world, keeping TW's population healthy shouldn't be too hard. It's not like StarCraft, where someone comes along with a better game in the gendre. SS only has competition from that wanna-be SS game, I forget it's name, came out like 2 years ago. It sucked.

No, it is Xfire that would be modified, and all that modification is, is adding continuum to the list and making it recognize the process when it runs on your computer.

Yeah.. I doubt half-life and all those other games modified their games just for the sake of x-fire. And im sure the new population wouldn't stick around too long with our "loving player base" calling them new and killing them.

SS/Continuum has a (decent) chat system built in to it already... so I don't really think we need XFire support other than as a way to spread the word... of course... that does mean I want it.. but not enough to go post about it.
theres already an external chat program (subchat) around anyways.
          thread killer

Also who changed to pw to Squadless, how am I supposed to fly the banner of sucking at the game

Since i'm lazy, can someone just tell me WHY we would want this other thing to support subspace?

Both of the ideas you said are wrong/dumb

                        1) First i didn't exactly mean the client would be modified, if i even said that. It would require that the developer would have to spend time with these x-fire people to tell them about how our system works. think about it, they couldnt just go into the SSCU network or whatever and just take the ip address or whatever, of every single person playing would they? no. So no the client would not be modified, but a lot of information about the inner workings would have to be told etc etc, j00 get my point.

                        2) What would be the point of implementing it if we dont want people to stick around. That just seems like it would be counterproductive. "Hey let's get some new players, so we can kill them and they can all leave right away". Good one.

So further thinking leads me to believe that: NO, THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME.

ill leave you with this quote

Musashi> i bought a loaf of bread with a whole clove of garlic baked into it TONIGHT IS GOING TO BE SUCH A RIOT.
                        Musashi> afk bye
What maneuver could possibly be smoover?

Basically X-Fire just reads that you've launched the "continuum.exe" file and then clocks how long you've been playing with it which goes to this little forum signature picture with your 'game stats' on xfire. Then this will be shown on your buddy list that you are playing continuum, and then your friends can run the game at the same time. And if they don't have it, they'll be forwarded to a website to find more about it.

                            Exactly.
                            It's really kind of cool.
You can have a little signature thing you can use on forums (this one?) to show everyone how much you play ss. Tons of people have xfire on another forum that I am on and there's a group of us continuum players that doesn't get to show everyone how big of nerds we are and play continuum for like 5 hours a day

The xfire signature doesn't work on these forums, cause people don't want to be "Eye fucked" by them. Which basically means, alot of the people who play this game got crappy computers (hence the continuum game). But yeah other forums it'll work.

                                Get faster comps?
Or are you all too reliant on your lag to get you kills and think you have skill on ss?
