and what would you propose to be done about the spawning wbs or roofers? Why not just eliminate them too and have each team spawn in 1 ear and only be able to use ships 3,2,5,7 and 8

as much as i hated the old settings of the x, i think this is a fair trade. the x now has much more maneuverability and can make a good killer, it's not nearly as stealthy as it used to be. but it's still plenty stealthy enough so it requires some skill to be ninja-like.

I think it's a good compromise.

Lev and X are guite useless so w/e.

nah, x is a good basing ship in the right hands. lev is a good basing ship, but it's like... a sacrificial lamb. it's like a "brute force" method of eliminating the frontal defenses in the flag room, enabling a brief inturruption in defense. attacking freq can then rep mines and make a press for the flag before enough can re-attach to the terr (if it survived the lev bomb). However, the lev is pretty much a sitting duck at that point, unless it can attach.

The only problem is when people abuse the ships and use them for things other than basing, which generally happens. But with the settings adjustment, the x has been neutered, and the dock & guano bots have provided an environment where people don't have to put up with levis, if they don't want.
