When you first downloaded this gane..

Got into the beta on a demo CD that came with a computer games magazine back when I was in like 8th grade. Had fun playing it with my friends, enough so to buy it, but I was on a 28.8 modem on AOL at the time so my lag wasn't great. I had fun but was never that addicted, never even joined a squad and if leagues existed I wasn't aware of them, I just played for the top scores on the VIE website, which became pointless once they started resetting them every month or so and I quit.

But then freshman year of college a roommate of mine was playing it and got 7 other guys on our floor playing it. I told them at the time "Oh that game is fun, but you'll be bored of it in 2 weeks, trust me. After awhile it just gets repetitive". After they didn't quit, they needed an 8th to form a squad, Beatdown Brigade, so I got brought back into the game. Ended up taking me about 5 years to finally get bored with the game. A bit more than the 2 weeks that I predicted.

I think I joined in '99...Nessy and K.R. introduced me through my b/f at the time. (We all went to high school together) I played about a year and got into dependency which was a blast except that everyone left for University the year after and the squad is gone. No one even remembers those guys anymore. That is my rant, and I am sad becuase I've played a long time and still suck! lol..

The summer of '01 I spent a lot of time at my friend Cressan's house and he always found cool games. We got hooked on a risk type game called Fracas for a while, then we got into Earth 2025, a text-based build your country type game. Then our friend Logoff started playing these games as well. Our next obsession was Diaspora, a weird spaceship game that was really addictive. That game randomly stopped working so next time I went to Cressan's he was playing Continuum and thats where I first saw it. I went home the next day and got it. A few days after that, Logoff got it.

I had no idea I'd still be into the game, even after a school year of not being able to play. But now I'm home and starting a squad with Cressan and Logoff for some fun this summer.

Yes its true, in 94/95. Subspace, land of the massive multiplayer spaceship game with VIE supporting all servers. Loads of fun back then, Loads of fun.. Mr. Data and all those damn annoying cloakers and shiz. Wasssssssssssss fun!

I can't exactly remember the first time I played this game, but it was when version 1.34 was out, which was years ago... I was on the name, Prodigy... I was on the #1 ranking spot in Chaos Zone EAST for like 3 months straight, before they started to reset the scores, which pissed me off...

But it was fun, I miss how you use to could kill yourself though :P

I restarted playing it again in 2001 I think, tried choas zone again, but it got boring... Oneday it was down and a guy I knew from that zone "flicken17 I think his name was" told me to try out 17th parallel... I love this zone and it has driven to complete insanity... I started there as Joker0430... Now I use Ramjet...

But yea, that's my story... :P

Gotta admit .. my life went downhill since I started playing SS.
Haven't been outside for the last 7 months. Good that I can order food and stuff on the internet.
I don't even remember how a 3d world looks like
Anyways ... I'm counting down. I'm gonna quit it all around august of this yr.
Game is taking in too much time for me. Gotta spend my time more on my studies.

My mate was playing it and at first glance I couldnt take my eyes off of it. I was up at his house keeping him awake with the noises of fireing spaceships and he was so pissed off. He put it onto a cd for me and its the one game ive played ever since.

Annoying thing is, since 98 I have been playing online games like jedi knight and age of empires on the Zone but if I had known about this game then, I'm pretty sure i would'nt of bothered with them.
