I definately gotta say brookus as well. The guy knows how to lead a squad and despite all the screaming and harping at us never gives up on his players.

Props also gotta go out to the other two a-s caps Erathia and Holydude because these guys are some of the nicest around as well.

So my opinion is biased but it's only because these are the guys I know the best because I'm on a squad with them.

Oh, Pearl Jam is also one of the cooler dudes around as well.

Disoblige, Pallies, Anti-Scrub, Sk8 -- all had long runs at the top
-F-, Elusive, SiEGE -- all had long runs at the very top
Paladen, British Squad -- had long ass runs.

ppl like CoL don't deserve to get mentioned, how long has it been since you even saw 8 members of lame at once? 3 years? 4? probably when they took over Vortex 3 seasons ago, but then they were on vortex, not LAME.

Nobody else really deserves to get mentioned, ppl who soon will be Cape who has a good squad with big egos and keeps 'em in check and the spastic guys.

Worst leaders ever: Sudden -- couldn't back it up, ran away
Annul -- after shriek dissolves for the 5th time, I think ppl will finally stop joining it.


Fbz diserves mention for Light, even if it was only one season, he coached the only unbeaten season, and he did it in all 3 leagues.

Randedl is a great leader, ive learned lots of tips from him.

true, but he left melee which was his squad, made grape and idssolved it, now remade. So he's a good cap but he hasn't shown the longterm yet, and he wasn't succesful enough in the short term to be one of the best.

I still love him as a guy though.

I'm going to add Crown of Thorns to the list. A lot of people didn't like him, but he was an awesome squad leader and dean of staff. I learned a lot from his unwavering sense of morals, justice and friendship.

Epi, are you high? You must not have been online (and thus not on the mod chat) much when CoT went off the deep-end in mid-2001. The guy alienated many who formerly respected him including me, Dock, and Yomama who were all flabbergasted at his 180º change of attitude and character during those spring months of 2001. At the time that I deleted this game in June '01, CoT was a major lamer, and he deserved to get axed from staff.

Other than that.....everyone else mentioned was pretty cool. I dont know about the newer leaders since I missed so much, but we did have alot of good leaders in the old days. And I thank Sir Elim for mentioning me among them. BTW Sir Elim definitely belongs on that list. We ran our rival squads (-Legacy- and Scrotal's Horde!!) in similar fashion back in 2000, and there was always much respect between us.

Also, Louis XV was a good leader. Few people know that Louis XV was a co-creator and co-leader on both Scrotal's Horde!! and Cripples (he left us cuz we didnt base enough). That guy was awesome.

personally Scrot and Mantra. however i think every squad that manages to stay alive for 2+ years has a good captain. i also can imagine it must be difficult to keep a squad filled with young egos whose loyalty goes as far as their chances to win titles together for over a season.

Louey was a good captain bc he was laid back and always fun, but we all know Wix or the 3rd co-captain always did the work Lou would often go offline for months at a time b4 he'd check back in Louey wsa the captain everyone liked, but Wix is the one who made them good.
