LTing is officially dead. Purepub was definitely the factor that ruined it, I quit lting when purepub came about. And all the changes since purepub have made the situation even worse. It's pretty sad when you think that many of the best players today, especially basers, had their roots in lting. It would be awesome if they took purepub away occasionally so some of the good oldschool LT's that I still see around can give it another run.

LTing will never "officially" die as many of you have said.. boredom sets in, elim begins to drag. what you gonna do? go play pub!? spam chat for LT partner then dominate.

And reason why so many people have roots in LTing is that it's like beating up defenseless old ladies when you're young and "cool" and when you get older you notice how big of an asshole you were. I did LT too. Not for long, but I did.

I wouldnt exactly say its dying. I for one see in the pubs that allow levis many many ppl in levis. Most of them of course tryin to green so they can LT. I even see many LTs going around. The problem is we have so many ppl in those Non-basing pubs in levi that no one is actulay in base to kill.

Like someone said above, LT's do kill basing. And afterall the real point of TW pub is to get the flag and defend it (aka basing) and LTs ruine that by making it not really to much fun when ur in a good Flagroom battle and u got a 3 levi turret bomb the shiz and kill everyone. Thats not fun because even the best terrs/pilots cant survive it. I think its perfectly fine how it is. We got 1 purebasing pub, 1 pub w/o levis and then about 2-3 that allow anything like old times.

there are definately some new ones now though, boobiesyay bubbels0134021948, morroco(wishy16)prolifik who still lt so it's all good. i don't see it dying, i just see it as inactive

No I haven't, but I only play in non-levi pubs. If you're right, let's hope this trend continues.

I doubt LT'ing is declining due to the weasel settings.

I think the decrease in LT'ing is just a reflection of the popularity of timed basing and the Robogirly pub.

Have they tried to experiment with a second timed basing arena during the peak traffic times? I wonder if they would both be fully populated during the peak hours.

LT is dying and its only cause everyone sits in a fucking warbird in the spawn area and all you damn basers ?go 0. Sometimes you can find a good pub where people are actually fighting over base but for the most part thats why LT is dying. Personally I love to LT and I dont understand why everyone hates it.

levs dont have 4 repels anymore so its harder to green. there are 2 pure pubs so you cant lt until TW has a lot of players on. that discourages a lot some from lting.

dont think its dying i still see a lot of lting.
