Some of the lag is also due to the TW server (30+ people in spec during a basing match), actual duds (especially spiders), and the weird, post-worldcom transatlantic routing. No one from Seatown seems to get better than 170 with .1-.2 ploss, which is fine unless one of the previously mentioned incidents gets us labelled as laggarts.
anyway, it's as much about where you live as what you use.
Oh and Guru, I'd hire a priest to exorcise those computer demons.
Broadband users are (and will be for another few years at least) a minority. Most people who don't have broadband either can't afford it, or it isn't available in their area. Yes, that's right. I said they can't afford it. I don't know where you're getting these prices, but you couldn't be more wrong. A majority of the world resides in a more rural setting. Affordable broadband is an urban phenomenon. Put two and two together and you can see the problem. STFU and educate yourself sparky.
