90% of those squads' members got tired of floundering in mediocrity and gave up. Their impact on basing was negligible, so using that to try and help your already-ruined case is pointless.

Dudgeon was here for 3/4 year and - thats quite a lot for a decent non-TWL squad. But despite we were able to win some hard oponnents we never earned respect in someone eyes. (well, we had lot of loses too). I think most of squads enjoyed playing with us and we enjoyed playing with them. I think there isnt enough place for mediocre player in basing community right now and this I see as possible problem.
And saying that Quirion/First stage didnt help is complete ignorance and self-centrism. Maybe not everyone made it to well established squads but many had fun in subspace for many months and many until now. PH is partialy right - they get tired of mediocrity. I think thats because basing scene cant offer much for mediocre squads.

Apocalypse WOW!, I was gonna reply when you said, my squad doesnt give the best image, when it has so many staffers, but just to satisfy my curiosity, give some examples of "bad image" and the "no talk by the special club"..and I would give you a proper reply.

People IMPROVE in squads, and so if you give some people a chance your squad will probably become more active.

ok ok ok, i didnt read any of the posts after PL's big post, but i saw that someone said ?go base is the problem mainly because "new" basers (or potentially new) dont go to ?go base. why not have an advert for ?go base, like elim and beelim have? many more people would come to it, and more new players would be picked....just a thought...comment on it

I think this thread demonstrates another of the zone's problems: people are too concerned about their egos, reputations, and petty disagreements that the bigger problems are ignored. Only a few people are actually affected by those personal issues, and yet the issues that affect us all have mostly been forgotten.

but got inactive and didn't do much in recent months. The biggest problem to TW these days is the inactivity due to people playing other online games.

Yes, a game that's been going for ten years, and has been outdated for about 6 years. It's never been about the greatness of the game, it has been about the community combined with the endless gameplay.
Ofcourse WoW would have a great impact on a community built like this, but I think you should still be able to compete with a pay-to-play game.

There have always been sucky squads, most of the time it's squads that had a great history and declined, it's not really important how highly you think of those squads, as long as they are trying to compete.
If you don't have alot of new squad emerging, you will have to play TWL with 8 teams instead of 16, and that DOES matter.

I believe there are a few on forums who personally don't like staff and certain people and they keep posting on whatever they can to try and do something about that. I don't believe you guys have said or done anything that actually helped this zone out.

I believe there is alot of staffers that do not much more than following the rules they are given and feel that any attack on the functioning of staff is a personal attack out of grudge. They won't read any further and then will never concider taking complaints seriously. If people get the oppurtunity of bashing staff -with grounded reasons- you might conclude there's some things out of order.

Anyone can come on here and say "you guys aren't leading, do something". Many people on staff work really hard to develop this zone and make things happen. The worst is to come on here and see people who have no idea what goes on or what is happening to just say you guys aren't leading.

It's worse that you have people in your staff that have ' no idea what goes on'. If you get warnings from a Zone Helper for using ?cheater 2 times, and get told to shut up, somethings wrong. If you randomly act on racism, somethings wrong.
If you want less complaints.. start with guiding staff.

I've never turned down anyone who came with me with ideas to run games or to have events or any ideas I thought needed to be brought up to a group as a whole.

Most complaints aren't about development I believe. And I heard of some people that did have the feeling they didn't get the chance to dedicate to the zone, but since we ever only got to hear their side of the story, and not your side, I will leave it at that.

Props to Apoc for trying, but noone cares. Trench Wars is dying, will be dead before too long and noone cares. That's just how it is. Try to enjoy it while you can.

i didnt read the whole thing.. but here is my two cents:

?go base now is absolutely the worst place to learn basing right now.. well.. serious basing anyways.. all you learn there now is shit talk, how to camp, how to get cap and jav yourself, or how to leave mid game if you dont get what you want.

pure pubs are actually a great place now.. IF we can limit the amount of javs, and no cloakers would be great too. if any new comers that would want to learn how to base, i'd suggest them to go to pure pub.

its true that old basing squads are dying, but there are new squads that are being created. we will see more once we get closer to twl.

if people actually stopped thinking like that, base would be a better place to play. The actual problem is. right now, the lack of involvement from everyone. If only everyone would actually care after so many years of playing to give something back to the community. But no, once you start being good and having your fun, you are out of it. I totally agree with apoc and i am one of the losers he's talking about. sure i talk to everyone, but alli do is bitch and yell at everyone. Sure, i want things to change, but thats not a good way. I just give up like a fuktard on base when i should try harder and harder. maybe it will give something in the end.

1) Host more basing games..... Maybe get a bot who can host this every 2/3 hours (dunno if possible).

2) Maybe annouce the start of base like elim and baseelim (the green line that you can see in all arena's
