Is cheating on the rise??

I was just wondering what the community stand point is on the cheating (primarily lag/program cheats) in TW these days. Do you think it has increased dramatically over the years? lessened? about the same?

Do you think staff does a good job at keeping cheaters at a minimum? Do you think they handle cheaters in a fair and reasonable manner? or do you feel that some staff are biased and corrupt in their judgements? Any suggestions for improvement?

What are your feelings on cheaters themselves? I know most of you have already come in contact with several people who have told you that they used "cheats" or may have shown them to you, and what is your reaction to this? apathy? indifference? anger? amusement?

any and all rants will be appreciated.

Just like any other game, set someone down in front of it for hundreds of hours and they'll figure a way to get to a shortcut. Sadly enough, I try to think of the players as cute little bunnies that would never try to cheat to win in the spirit of fair competition.

It's a 2d spaceship game. Why would you ban a friend you know over cheating on it? Cant really expect people on staff to care that much overall about the game, although there are some that do. I think most staffers are 'corrupt' in that they will let their friends get away with stupid things like racism if no one is really around, though i like to think theyd ban a friend if hes using a cheat. I dont really care so much about it as long as league doesnt get ruined, and as long as some alias no one ever heard of isnt playing in twl getting 20 kills with suspicious lag I think it'll be fine.

ive seen a website a guy told me to check cannot remeber his name, but he told me to check this site and said you can glitch through walls sure enough i checked, then told him to go to a priv pub and show me, and he did it, he also gave his wb x radar, and multi enabling it to shoot two bullets this actually happened, i think its coming back to me, the name zabuza hehe j/k na cant remember his name its emerald somthing

Yes he could, that is using Cheat Engine, so he has the double barrel of a lancaster, with the level 3 bullets of a wb.

You can basicly do anything with it. Staff knows about it and we will automaticly see you using it. I would advise anyone who wants to try this to do it on your own zone since you will be get a network ban if done in any SSC zone and you are playing with the fundamental systems of your PC which could result in damaging it, educate yourself first. An update to the client is needed to add further secuity so no one can use these types of hacks.


Racism calls are handled differently through bots and chats. I won't say anymore about but that most of the racism calls are taken in this way. The ability for anyone to pass over their friends is unlikely because of this and we have a policy of not accepting calls from friends & squad mates. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but the situation does not favor it here.
Overall CE is making cheating easier to do but there's more racism and team killing then hacking or lag abuse. In most cases they do it, get banned then bitch and whine about how TW Staff can't prevent it from happening without trying to conceal their actions. It doesn't make us look bad in my opinion, we'd fix it if we could but SSC and priitk are slow to change.

Not really, I have seen multiple people using CE in TW and they haven't been caught, let alone told off.

I see your point Meaning you CAN catch most of the TW players.

Although I think it isn't possible to catch someone doing a freq hack, to make themselves invincible, if they have some genuine lag.

fuck the lag cheats, look at the lag people like kthx (a staffer) have that's totally legal because they're too cheap to buy cable (or just enjoy the lag rush and lag dodge their shit connection provides). Yes, I understand some places don't have cable, but these hick douche bags make playing frustrating as fuck.
So, it's legal to use shit connections to produce lag like that, but illegal to duplicate it?

When vys was banned for lag cheating kthx was one of the ones saying "it's not the fact that he doesn't die, it's that he eats bullets and then kills" hmm... I don't have enough fingers to count the number of times his bullshit lag has taken what should have been a double and eaten like a glutton.

And no- staff don’t give a fuck about lag cheats unless it’s directly effecting one of them in TWD or TWL, and many will turn a blind eye when they know squaddies are CEing.
