Ok Captain America, why dont you go and "automatically" find all the people using it? Because you cant, unless they do something really stupid you wont catch them.

And also, Im unsure if this can be done in any way. But something needs to be done in TWL/TWD with all the newbies that have 15 downloads going while they play in a match.

And most of the people using it just do it to try and make some kind of statement without trying to hide it. We know not everyone can be caught using it but really if they try to do it during a TWD, tourny or TWL game the odds are they'll be caught. I also have a problem with going out into the zone and checking each and every person for cheating. 1: it's not practical or worth the time of our Moderators and 2: It would lead many staffers to ban innocent people.

Ohh right sorry, unreal tournament is open source isn't it, my bad. Also, there are efforts on preventing cheating within the server, things like checksum mismatches and errors for illegal ship settings. Many bots have also been worked on to prevent cheating, but I do expect it would take more work than tw dev and all other bot coders are capable of, in their time restrictions. I have to bring up the point again, that VAC can't stop the majority of hacks using CE, and that isn't to do with the open source.

I meant recent efforts to prevent cheating within the client and server. We have bots that work on it but I do not know of any current projects by TW Dev. Regardless if this were open source we'd have 10 times the problems we have today.

I was in a TWD match the other day where someone was reported for cheating (lagging on the outside of the twd arena) and two mods popped into spec soon after the call. Now it doesnt take much to quick key a stop to any running programs as soon as staff shows up, so perhaps staff shouldnt always be so OBVIOUS if they are actually attempting to catch someone in the act. Changing your name to one less noticeable doesnt really require much effort...

The people here will be everything but constructive when criticizing staff. I like the fact that ideas are getting out into the open but you your self have to give a little and speak out against this little fucking kids if you want to save this thread. I am questioning your motives here and I have every right to when I see you giving staff nothing but shit.

Well this is a player-run zone. Not to add to the staff-bashing but your statement is hypocritical, I'm not trying to side with the morons who say the same crap ove and over about staff, I just had to point it out.

Those same kids ARE staff (I see many whiners on staff, just as bad as anyone in this thread). That probably has a lot to do with certain people and certain squads "getting away" with cheating (di-cough-ce) and also why there is so much staff-bashing to begin with. If you put children in charge, expect things to be run like children are in charge.

That's complete bullshit. I'm not being hypocritial because I am not countering or attacking people who want to express their opinion but for the good of this zone and to make discussion better and more effective here I want them to take it where it belongs, not on this forum or in trash talk.
I want Slaq to give some input here and move his own thread towards something more constuctive and to speak out against people who want to cause problems here because this is trash talk and worthless shit so much so that I would recommend this be closed or moved there, it seems that people can't actually talk about a problem without acting like four year olds.

I don't care if some staffers want to give the fucking shit heads what they deserve here. The maturity of most staffers is far above that of the "kids" in this zone.

Edit: BTW, there are no staff members in Dice and as I've stated already the ability to allow your friends to get away with cheating, tking or racism with the way things are is very limited.

The only thing all of this would/could have come to anyway is a finger being pointed at staff as always. In this case it is not deserved because there isn't much the staff can do, this is a client problem they have little to no control over. Only one solution, new client.

By the way I have a list of six people from TW who cheat and will be net-banning them also. If any of you do use CE lets just hope it isn't one of you

meh tired of kolar acting like staff can do something about this situation. Like most people have said theres really nothing staff can do about this. Swift, I hope in CZ you people do something logical when you find someone cheating such as take away their league priveleges. Obviously you cant keep them out of the zone since bans are rather simple to evade.
