recharge cheats

I think staff really needs to know what these are. I'm pretty tired of telling a staffer that someones cheating right in front of their face and getting some bullshit answer. Earlier for example, when some newb on heavy is using a recharge cheat code tells me his energy goes down from 1500. gj hes not using energy freeze, so obviously since he followed me as i back boosted 500-600 energy and shot as soon as he got out of boost must be legit. In TWEL I told Ikrit that olympia girl was also using a recharge cheat against me and he said some smartass comment like 'only as fast as you'. Guess who is now banned for cheating? Right, and most of TW was apparently wrong about vys until 4 or 5 mods+ finally observed a match and agreed that he was cheating.

The fact is that something like a recharge cheat is pretty hard to detect since the energy numbers move so fast when you're looking at someones info. Some staffers I believe just make sure those numbers are moving near normal and don't pursue it anymore. Right now all thats being ruined is the occasional TWD game and TWEL but if staff cant see something like that then what makes me think TWL will be any different? There will be staff watching yes but if they can get away with it when staff watches them in TWD why not then?

I've noticed the recharge cheat about. There has been alot of cheating in TWEL i rember a while a go the guy i was playing with a lag of 930ms (average) and not being speced. i did ?cheater but no one came :P

Actually um, recharge cheating is pretty easy to detect. Theres i command (forgot it), which shows all greens or tells you the greens a certain player might obtain at a time and all staff can see current energy of any player they are speccing.

is there any reason why we can't enable people to watch people's energy from spec?

if not, enabling that (or releasing the energy code) would be a big help

Bots should be able to detect when someone has unnatural energy, with all of the things getting coded for this game these should be the #1 priority. Also I understand some mods don't like certain people because they talk crap or always report people, but just ignoring their help calls, or going in the arena after taking a call and just alt-tabbing or going afk instead of actually watching the person. I mean.. come on.

What an interesting post.

In the last three years of being an ER, I have invented many of todays most popular games, while also hosting more events then any one staffer at anytime on this game. I don't kiss ass to get ahead, and I stand up for things I believe in even on staff chat. That is much more then you can say for yourself Nethila. For instance, why start an immature fight in a public forum it is moronic, but since you decided to post your two cents I might as well also. What are you known for Nethila, banning evil racists, banning tking pubbers, I assure you that my much longer time on staff, especially back when I was an active host more then makes up for my last bout of inactivity towards hosting. Alot of the reason I don't host nowadays is because I don't believe in the way TW is being staffed. For future reference, don't make such horribly wrong accusations about my character until you fully understand the magnitude I have had on this game during my extensive staffing career. Furthermore since all I posted beforehand was just constructive critisicm not ranting and throwing about names of mods, perhaps instead of trying to insult me you should post your own ideas on the problem instead of flinging around shit like a caged chimpanzee.

So now you bring about private staff business and make it public? Excellent, and I know they were afk because I asked them if they watched after the matches and they told me they were alt-tabbed, and afk. As for me leaving staff because I don't agree with certain staff policies, well my job is hosting which I still do occasionally, and extremely well, so me leaving staff would just hurt the general populace more than anything, so why would I do that. If I was a say.. twd op and inactive then yes, I would step down as only so many spots are available in that position, but being an ER with an unlimited amount of spots available me hosting say.. 15 events a week is still better then me leaving staff and those 15 events never happening, wouldn't you agree?

You start a lot arguments wark and you are too close to the game and to the people here. You show disrespect for many staffers and for the hierarchical system we have here, i'm not saying kiss ass or whatever but start treating all staffers at least with the basics of respect. I think you're bringing too much here already that is private, if you have concerns about Mods or any one of them specificly then talk to PL or post on the private forum and if your counter to that is it wouldn't do anything then you don't belong on staff.

To the best of your knowledge Izor is there a way to modify the rate of recharge or is all of this complete bullshit? I could find no way of doing it but if you do know I would like to find a method for detecting this. As for CE energy hacking it is very obvious if someone is using it by checking tinfo and watching for greens. The item/energy hud for spec players would help aswell as removing FC greens from twd, twel ect...
