A game in TWD was in progress with Value vs. Immolate. The player SyckPhreak (AKA: Squadless, a member of Value. This is what people claim who the alternate alias is) was saying how he was going to crash the TW server. No one thought much of this, so i checked it out after the multiple ?cheater's came in complaining about this threat.

I spoke to him, and he said he would crash Trench Wars. Everyone took it as a bluff. SyckPhreak started abusing ?cheater and started spamming profanities; He was warned for his actions.

Trench Wars started experiencing lag, and crashed numerious times (possibly between two or three times, dropping population downwards of 50-80 players).

He later begun talking to me, saying if i banned him he would hack Trench Wars furthermore, and make it so no one could play. After speaking with DoCk>, he was issued a ban for one week.

Two minutes later, after the ban - Trench Wars started experiencing troublesome lag. In upwards of 50% ploss per-player.

Turns out, SyckPhreak was spamming the Trench Wars router with 50MB+ of loose packet data. PriitK shortly later was informed, and was tracing him.

Trench Wars is now not operational, we believe PriitK shut it down to save on costs of the extra bandwidth moving throughout the server.

PL made Lethargy download some file so he could search through his computer to see if he had hacks. Found None.

In my own opinion i feel that the subject of whether or not Lethargy was cheating or a staff member was prizing him Shields/Full charge is getting blown over and it shouldnt be. You guys need to realize that what gets said here in this forum will most likely have no Decisive Factor in how the Lethargy banning will be handled, like some staff have stated in this thread over and over, The Upper Staff (Smod - Deans - Sysops) will decide what happens, and i highly doubt any of the things said so far in this thread will sway their decision. Yea its fun to have a little bit of drama here and there but this is too much for something so small, people cheat all the time and they dont get 4 page threads Defending or Accusing them. I am tired of hearing this name "Lethargy" when i didnt even know who the heck he was until 48 hours ago. This isnt some Court case like some people are making it out to be, its just another cheating dilema. Happens all the time, and this isnt needed for this crap.

For those who do not want to read all of that i will leave you with big letters to summarize what i just said...

Stop making this into something it isnt, this is nothing huge, its not the end of tw, its just another cheat/not cheat problem, it happens every day. This is being blown out of porportion

Make an example of them. I'm not saying the whole squad cheated, I'm not even saying this one guy cheated, but if you determine that he did in fact cheat, and he's an assistant or cap, make an example of the whole squad by disqualifying them all for TWL.

Or, just ban this one guy, let them go, and let everyone realize what you let them get away with... This is a prime opportunity to show everyone what you do to cheaters.

Oh and btw, if a SMOD does a *prize, it's recorded in the log. Upper staff would see it, well a bot is a SMOD so if someone was using a bot to prize the player the log would show, whatever, "Twbot>:leth:*prize 18" (or whatever # it is) So if a staffer actually did abuse and used a TWbot to prize this guy shields, then it would also show up in the log. Matchbot's do not have the module to prize people, atleast they didn't when I used them. So If this guy really is innocent, then either a Smod prized him, or someone else got a twbot, brought it into the arena and prized him, in which case the log would show that the twbot prized the guy. Then it would be just a matter of figuring out which lower staff member used the TWbot. In all other cases, this guy used CE. I'm not 100% certain on this, but that's how I've always understood it.

Lethargy is not a bad player, he hits plenty of shots. So as for anyone who says he "took advantage of it," you're just way off, and viewing this completely one-sidedly since you obviously were not there. Taking advantage of the shields would have gotten him 30 kills, not 13. He stopped playing when he realized something was off, and if any of you had seen logs of the DDs, Lethargy never once mentioned 'shields,' he thought he was being prized full charges when he was hit.

I think that lethargy once slapped Dock>, dock> then made a gimmick account called Fireballz and gave that account sysop powers in secretness, then one day, he would wait for the right day, he would then proceed to use the name Fireballz to green lethargy shield so he would get banned and Dock>'s revenge would be sweet!
