First off let me say I wouldn't create one of this "bitching" threads if I didn't think this was a serious problem and I'm not mad about a particular incident. Plus, I'm not so much bitching as I am just curious as to why moderators seem to have stopped doing their jobs.
The past couple of months the number of cheater calls that are taken in public arenas has been slimming down a lot. These aren't just cheater calls that I've sent, but cheater calls that an entire freq sends because there is a jackass who is teamkilling intentionally (and that's the only time I send a cheater call). The past couple of weeks though they haven't been getting answered at all, or if they do the moderator only comes after some bitching is done and a little abuse of ?cheater to get their attention. When did that become necessary? I thought it was a moderator's job to take a cheater call when it pops up, not after an entire freq sends it, then ?cheater is abused.
Here's an example that happened just today. There was a javelin on my freq that was teamkilling the hell out of us and it was clearly intentional. I sent a cheater call as did at least 2 other people. No moderator shows up for about 7 minutes after the calls were sent. So I abuse ?cheater just to get someone's attention, I of course get the robohelp bullshit message of abuse and FINALLY a moderator shows up but way too late, the guy has already changed ships.
I'm not the only person who knows that moderators are slacking off big time. Even certain moderators (who I wont name) admit to it themselves and admit they see it a lot more than they used to. So, since I'm not staff or knowlegable of this specific area I'm forced to post here hoping that someone will take it seriously and realize this is actually a problem. I don't know what should be done to fix it or could be done but I'm pretty sure that upper-staff isn't even aware this has become a problem. Hopefully this will at least get people in staff looking at the problem and talking about it so something gets done. Does anyone even know why this has happened?
