base stats

Anyone ever think about making or using a system like there is in duel or tourny that'd keep track of stats in ?go base ?

like, just like twbd stats, but for base

Yeah, I agree with you but the same people would be on it because you need to be picked, unlike elim and tourny where everyone gets a chance...

meaningfull stats might be hard to get from go base

THere are alot of 10-0 white washes, keeping stats could encourage losing ppl to just quit rather than play it out to help their stats. Even if you include lagouts or something i could still see this happening.

it could encourage camping

one thing i would see happening is some "elite" ppl refusing to play on a team they think will lose.

All in all i'm not sure its worth it

Mythrandir use to post some stats on the forum from ?go base but he and a good majority of people were dead set on leaving it without a recorded stat system.

i didn't mean it to be something that people'd check up on regularly, or something that'd motivate people to camp and get 80-10. maybe there could be something where there are no "awards" given out, so there wouldn't be anything worth getting a good record for... like, don't even put in a ranking system.

or do you think people'd still camp just ...for whatever reason?

The bots are not recording go base games as of now. There needs to be a revamp of the bot cause its crashing when its recording.

mvp shud be voted for at the end of the game by the ppl who participated in the game, maybe a couple of crucial shots clinched the game, or their pushing was so forceful it broke cram on a regular basis
