PriitK did not introduce the resolution cap because of the differences between people's monitors' performance but because the zone was not really meant to be played at anything higher than 1280x1024. Ever seen a 5v5 warbird match with everyone playing on a 20xx res? You'd know why.jeeComment

Alot of laptops still have a resolution of 1024 x 768, so putting it higher than 1248 x 1024 wouldnt be that nice to alot of people.3:Wax> ard and i snapchat all the time

each map has its own resolution capture, for example when you ?go omniverse you can have any resolution you want.. I always used to play in diff zones with 1900x1440 res and still have 300+ fps.. guess im a rich kid <_< Anyway, would be cool to have some warbird events with no res capture (and then ofcourse have this announced in the zone message when attracting players). btw, I never really liked the capture (kept me out of TW first 5 years of ss :P) but it does make sense in TW, with warbirding its a big advantage to have bigger res, in basing a bigger res is kinda useless.Only the loyal count.

But the truth is that I play on a simple 19" Sony CRT because it is like watching a ping-pong game on a big monitor, moving your head back and forth. :PComment

heh yeah most of the time here we have the beemer/projector of my dads work here at home, I can easily connect it with laptop but never really do, playing with it doesnt really work well.. hmm been a long time perhaps should do it again soon sometime.. normally play on 21inch CRT.. TFT is waste of money imoOnly the loyal count.

Oh yeah, well since we designed and build the motherboards in our PC's, I can change the firmware in the ethernet chip and put in any MAC address I want, thereby dodging bans!

i would like 1600x1200, these suicide rushes are starting to piss me off... in ?go base i would still use 1280x1024, i think i tried with 1152x900 something i believe once but the screen messed up.
